The world of Dune: Awakening offers a vast and intricate map that’s tough to navigate. If you’re unsure of your path, you might find yourself in challenging situations. One such situation arises when you are tasked with locating the slavers on Arrakis, who are partnered with the Harkonnens in the vile trade of slavery.
If you’re searching for the territory occupied by the slavers—either for contracts or gear—this guide has got you covered. Here’s what you need to know about finding the slavers in Dune: Awakening.
Who Are the Slavers?
Each area in Dune: Awakening has distinct factions in control. For instance, House Atreides governs Arrakeen, while the Kirab faction claims most of the Vermillius Gap.
As you progress through Dune: Awakening, grasping the different factions is crucial, especially when dealing with the Landsraad system.
The slavers are one such faction working with the Harkonnens to ensnare those from the Imperium, selling them into servitude.
Where to Find the Slavers
The slavers predominantly control the Jabal Eifrit area in the northern part of the map, situated just above the Vermillius Gap and west of the Hagga Rift.
This region is surrounded by quicksand, so exercise caution if crossing north from the Vermillius Gap.
If your vehicle gets stuck in the quicksand, be sure to use your Vehicle Backup Tool to recover it.
You can find slavers scattered throughout this area, particularly in Intel Bases, which are located centrally within Jabal Eifrit.
The majority of the slavers you encounter will be at these Intel Bases, and clearing them out will yield valuable loot and intel.
How to Complete the Kill Ten Slavers Contract

Upon reaching the Anvil, a settlement located in the Vermillius Gap, you’ll witness a cutscene featuring a dispute between a member of House Atreides and one from House Harkonnen.
If you chat with Lieutenant Anton Tolliver of House Atreides, he will offer various quests to demonstrate your loyalty.
One of these missions involves eliminating ten slavers, making it one of the primary contracts related to locating the slavers.
Keep in mind, if you’re interested in aligning with House Harkonnen, you should avoid engaging with Tolliver or completing his quests.
Once you accept this contract, a marker will appear on your map, leading you to Jabal Eifrit. Note, however, that this waypoint indicates a general area, not an exact spot.
The best approach to defeating ten slavers is to visit each Intel Base in the Jabal Eifrit area. By tackling each of these bases, you will effectively complete the contract and improve your standing with House Atreides.
