Completing the Quest: Locate All Secret Tapes in THPS 3+4

Secret Tapes are a classic collectible in the series, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 has plenty for you to discover. The only challenge is that you need to locate them first. Unlike the SKATE letters and stat points, Secret Tapes are trickier to find. And even after you locate them, figuring out how to access them can be just as complex. That’s where we come in!

We’ll guide you to each tape and show you the best methods to reach them. While these tapes can be pretty elusive, we’ll make it manageable so you can dust off your VHS player and enjoy some classic skate footage.

Where to Find All Secret Tapes in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3

In total, you’ll be after six Secret Tapes. Half of them will require you to unlock specific secret areas in their respective stages. Keep in mind that some of these may need you to get a decent amount of air, so be sure to have your special bar maxed out. Also, putting points into your hangtime and air stats will make your pursuit easier.

Stage	Tape Location
Foundry	From the start, jump onto the walkway to your right and follow it to the glass-walled room. You’ll see the Secret Tape on a beam in the middle. Smash through the window and grind the beam to grab the tape.
Canada	Follow the SKATE letters to the dock, grinding past the machine to elevate the halfpipe. Ride up the halfpipe to the bridge above the dock, then grind the closest railroad rail. This will lead you straight to the Secret Tape.
Suburbia	After breaking into the haunted house’s backyard, align yourself with the back window. Ride up the ramp, then grind the flagpole straight to the Secret Tape.
Airport	Skate through the airport until you reach the boarding gate area. The Secret Tape hovers above a rail to the right. Use a nearby ramp to grind the rail that is above the one with the flags. Stay on the grind, and you’ll be on track to grab the tape.
Los Angeles	After triggering the earthquake by hitting the four red rails around the library, grind the cable leading to the library’s roof. This cable is on your left at the stage’s start. Then jump to the overpass. Launch off the plywood ramp on the overpass, and it might help to upgrade your hangtime and air stats. Jump over the gap and grind the ledge of the building you land on, taking you straight to the Secret Tape.
Cruise Ship	At the start, grind the cable connecting the upper deck to the halfpipe under the helicopter. The Secret Tape hovers above the halfpipe. Perform an aerial trick to snag it.

Where to Find All Secret Tapes in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4

There’s one additional Secret Tape to find in the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 section of the game. Since there are generally fewer hidden areas, many of these Secret Tapes don’t require unlocking special parts of the stage, though two still do. Don’t worry; we’ll provide the necessary info when it’s relevant!

Stage	Tape Location
College	From the start, go straight across the campus. When you reach the white tower on your left, grind the handrail over the stairs and head around to the back of the tower. There, you’ll find an entrance that teleports you to the top. Just grind the wire to get the Secret Tape easily.
San Francisco	As the stage begins, go left and skate up the ramp to reach the second floor. Take a left toward the next ramp, and while midair, transfer to the ramp on your right. After that, jump across the gap, grind the hotel sign, then hop over the gap and grind the planter to reach the Secret Tape.
Alcatraz	After unlocking the cell door, enter the prison and use a ramp to get to the second floor. You’ll see the Secret Tape hovering above a rail that is under the window on the left. Grind that rail to collect the tape.
Waterpark	Once the arcade is unlocked, start from the area and head straight, then take a right. Go through the doorway titled Entrance to reach a big slide. Slide down, but don’t exit; instead, go up the back of the slide: the Secret Tape will be hovering above. Ride up the wall as far as you can, and jump just as you start losing momentum.
Shipyard	This Secret Tape is floating between the two rooftops of the central buildings in the stage. Head left from the starting point, then take the first right to find an entryway on your left. Go through it to reach the roof, and look for the duct exhaust; the tape will be right in front of it. Just drop down to grab it.
London	From the starting location, go straight ahead. Use the statue in the park as a ramp, then grind the wire on your right. This will lead to a halfpipe; launch off the side and transfer midair into the nearby bowl. The Secret Tape is above that bowl; catch some air to get it.
Pinball	From the start, go left to the other side of the pinball table. Specifically, look for a ramp designed like a cracked road leading up the wall. Ride that ramp, transfer to the nearby quarter pipe, and look for a big, colorful ramp. Launch off that ramp to grab the Secret Tape in the air.
