Combat isn’t just about dealing damage; having strong defense is crucial for surviving tougher battles. This is where armor comes into play. The game has various armor sets, but the Tides of Terraria update brings a unique new option. Here’s how you can obtain the new knight-themed armor.

How to Obtain the Hallowed Plate Mail Schematic

The Hallowed Plate Mail is a new armor piece available in the Terraria Dungeon, located on the Realm of Terraria island. While the process is straightforward, you may need multiple attempts to actually get it.

To acquire this armor, you’ll need to find its schematic. The only way to do this is by searching the chests scattered throughout the dungeon, especially those found after defeating the final boss.

Unfortunately, finding the schematic isn’t guaranteed on your first run since chests contain random loot. If you find a schematic, it might be for a different weapon or armor piece, so you’ll likely have to repeat the dungeon a few times to secure it.

The dungeon consists of a series of interconnected chambers, resembling segmented rooms in a 2D game. Below is an outline of the chest locations we discovered:

First room: Four chests can be found through the door at the front and the one on the right.
Second room: A chest is located through the left door.
Third room: No chests are present, so head through the left door to advance.
Final room: Start by breaking the yellow wall on the left to reveal a chest. Return and proceed right, then left again to find the last chest.
After collecting all chests, make your way to the boss fight. Once defeated, you’ll find two more chests at the dungeon’s exit.

How to Craft the Hallowed Plate Mail Armor

Once you successfully obtain the Hallowed Plate Mail schematic, you’ll need to craft it. Ensure you have a functioning Production Assembly Line 2 at your base.

With the assembly line ready, you’ll need 20 Hallowed Bars, which you can acquire by breaking the yellow walls. Use these to craft the armor.

After some time, return to the assembly, interact with it, and retrieve your shiny new armor to equip it.
