Have A Nice Trip Overview
The quest "Have A Nice Trip" plays a key role in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. You’ll need to engage with a quirky druid, who might be influenced by a Maggot. This interaction involves performing a ritual that allows you to enter his mind and face a worm.
Preparing for the Quest
The main challenge in this quest is gathering the necessary ingredients for the ritual. But don’t worry—we’ll provide you with all the locations you’ll need. Plus, we’ll walk you through the Apocalypticists quest, which you need to finish before starting "Have A Nice Trip." Let’s dive right in!
Completing the Apocalypticists Quest
To kick off your journey in "Have A Nice Trip," you must first wrap up the Apocalypticists quest. This part is quite straightforward. Start by talking to Denholm, who is located at the northwest section of the main village. From the Farmlands fast travel spot, head south along the perimeter and follow the water to where you’ll find wooden steps. Climb these stairs to find Denholm inside a tent. Have a chat with him, and agree to go speak with the Maggot.
To reach the Maggot, cross the bridge toward the fast travel marker. Follow the path west, cross another bridge, and turn right into the house where the Maggot is located. Regardless of how you interact with him, you will gain access to the "Have A Nice Trip" quest.
Finding Silver Powder
Locating Silver Powder is simpler compared to finding Raspberries. Head to the marked spot on the extreme west side of the map. The Forest Gate fast travel point is adjacent to it. Clear the camp in that area and loot the crates to obtain the Silver Powder.
Finding Raspberries
Raspberries are a bit trickier to collect. While they’re often found near a bandit camp, I had trouble acquiring the ten required. Instead, head south of the main village in Cuanacht, where there’s a giant tree surrounded by a camp. Look near the rocky outcrop at the camp’s edge to find raspberry bushes.
Alternatively, if you venture back to the Horns of the South, you’ll discover more raspberry bushes scattered all around. Teleport to the Ruined Broch fast travel location, and you’ll find plenty of raspberry bushes west of the Broch ruins.
Note: While I was reporting on this game, it seems the number of needed raspberries dropped from ten to three. It’s unclear if this change was intentional or a bug. Regardless, you can still find enough by visiting the suggested areas.
Once you have all the ingredients ready, head back to the Maggot and talk to him.
The Maggot Situation
With your ingredients in hand, Maggot will conduct a ritual to transport you into his mind. Step toward the front door and exit through the mouse hole on the left. From here, it’s a straightforward path. Continue straight until you come across a large hole. Don’t worry—there’s no fall damage, so jump down without hesitation. Walk forward and speak to the literal maggot.
This worm will request that you kill it. If your stats total 15 points in any category, you can choose to spare it, leaving Maggot more intact. However, this decision doesn’t grant any material advantage. Either way, you’ll receive 2300 XP, and the "Have A Nice Trip" quest will conclude.
Fun Fact: There’s a glitch that may allow you to spare the maggot even without the required 15 points. When I approached it and killed it without speaking first, I achieved the best outcome, despite not meeting the stat requirement. Keep in mind this is likely a glitch and could be patched.
This version retains the core messages while being uniquely rewritten.
