In Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, it’s often Raidou Kuzunoha XIV’s job to rescue Tae Asakura whenever she goes missing. In Episode Five, she guides you to Kasumidai, the heart of government activities in the country, filled with soldiers and secrets.
Your mission requires you to search for several missing pages of an important document in the Dark Realm version of Kasumidai, all while trying to locate and save Kaya Daidouji. But brace yourself, as the story takes unexpected twists as you delve into the government’s shady operations during this imagined Taisho era.
Solve the Missing Pages Puzzle in Dark Kasumidai
After a scene at the Narumi Detective Agency, accompany Tae to Kasumidai using the streetcar to follow a lead on Kaya Daidouji. Once you arrive, take some time to explore, but your main priority should be finding a soldier with a mole on his face, who is an informant Tae is seeking. He’s rumored to be located in the northern part near the Guard Box, but you’ll encounter soldiers blocking your path.
To proceed, you’ll need to distract the guards near the entrance, as Raidou needs a way to search for clues. Keep an eye out for useful items hidden throughout Kasumidai’s expansive map that can enhance your gameplay in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. Once you’ve gathered what you can, ask the soldiers near the left building for a hint.
They’ll mention that guard shifts change with the cannon’s shot, which is the very cannon you passed on your way with Tae. You’ll need to have a Pyro Order demon use Ignite on the cannon to trigger the guard shift, allowing Raidou to sneak closer to the Guard Box. Speak to the soldier you find there, then return to Tae. Make sure to interact with the item on the ground in this now-empty area to retrieve Tae’s camera.
Gouto recommends you visit Kounno-ya to get help developing the film for clues, so take the streetcar to Kounno-ya to speak with the elderly owner. He’s willing to assist but will charge you ¥3,000. If you’re short on cash, sell some items from the shop menu, and then pay for the film development. It’ll be revealed that Tae is in the Dark Realm, so head back to the Nameless Shrine to perform the Ritual of Entry and access Dark Kasumidai in search of Tae.
In the Dark Kasumidai, you’ll meet Sadakichi, the soldier with a mole, who is standing by an unconscious Tae. He mentions he is missing some pages of a document he wanted to share with Tae to expose the government’s activities at Kasumidai, but the pages are lost. Now, it’s up to Raidou to search the area for eight missing pages.
You can get assistance from two zombie officers: the one on the left will provide hints about pages five through eight, while the one on the right covers the first four pages. Additionally, a nearby demon skull can indicate how many pages you still need to find. Once you get the locations, head to the marked spots on the map to investigate and find the pages.

Once you collect all the pages, talk to Sadakichi in the center of the area, but remember to save your game first, as you’ll soon face a mini-boss battle against Nebiros. After defeating the mini-boss, find out your next target: Cannon Battery Number Four, located not far from the port in Harumi-cho. Make note of the code Sadakichi gives you—49399221—since you’ll need it shortly.
Infiltrate the Shipping Center to Rescue Kaya Daidouji
You might be tempted to summon Big Tarrasque from a dock in Kasumidai, but military blockades will prevent that. Instead, take the streetcar to Harumi-cho, where you can summon Big Tarrasque from the port, just as you did in the last episode. Then, head south to locate a small island with Cannon Battery Number Four.
When you arrive, enter Sadakichi’s code (49399221) into the telephone booth to gain access to the Subterranean Shipping Facility. As you navigate through the basement, be prepared to confront Fire, Ice, and Electric Nethergates. You can battle or confine any new demons you find in this area, but beware—the Volt Nethergate regenerates. To find the demon creating this barrier, take the nearby stairs.
To persuade this clumsy Ippon-Datara to remove the regeneration feature from the Volt Nethergate, you’ll need to negotiate with Ippon-Datara, just like you did with Big Tarrasque in a previous encounter in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army.
Here’s how the negotiation goes:
- Offer the item or cash that Ippon-Datara requests.
- Agree to provide the second item or cash amount as well.
- Finally, select “You’re stupid” when prompted.
Once the demon agrees to break the barrier, return a level up to where the regenerating Nethergate once stood. Now, take the ladder on the other side that was previously inaccessible. Here, you’ll find additional Nethergates, but these require you to disspell three individual Bullet Nethergates one at a time. Have your demons ready and aim at the Nethergate faces to clear each one.
Ahead, you can collect a trio of free items and save your game at the Dragon’s Fount at the bottom of a large staircase. However, climbing those stairs and attempting to save Kaya, who you’ll see on stage, triggers the boss battle against Abihiko and Nagasunehiko for Episode Five.
