Acquiring weapons in Persona 5: The Phantom X is just as crucial for your advancement as it is in the original Persona 5 or any other game in the series. With the extensive gameplay in The Phantom X, the weapon system can seem a bit daunting at first.
Fortunately, it’s not much more complicated than what you’d find in a typical non-gacha JRPG. We’ll break down how the system works, and then dive into the details by looking at every weapon in Persona 5: The Phantom X. Aim for the top-tier weapons, but don’t hesitate to use the others along the way!
How to Obtain New Weapons
There are two main ways to acquire weapons in Persona 5: The Phantom X. The first is by buying them from shops, which many players will find familiar. The second option is through the Weapon Banner, which has a more gacha-like twist.
Shops
You’ll unlock the weapon shop through regular gameplay, much like in Persona 5. In fact, Munehisa Iwai’s Untouchable returns to provide this service along with other shops.
However, since this is a gacha game, the purchasing process has a twist. While two-star and three-star weapons can be bought with yen, you’ll need different currencies for four-star and five-star weapons:
- Four-star weapons: Gecko Coins.
- Five-star weapons: Salamander Coins.
The Weapon Banner
The Weapon Banner becomes available as you progress through the story. To buy items here, you’ll need to save up some Platinum Milicoins.
Wondering how to get Platinum Milicoins? Here’s how:
- Purchase them with Wingbeat Coins, which you earn as a login bonus.
- Complete specific timed events and challenges. Keep in mind that these events don’t always offer Milicoins.
- Subscribe to the Premium Battle Pass, which provides Platinum Milicoins at various progression points.
- Convert Cognition Crystals and Meta Jewels into Platinum Milicoins; however, this can be quite costly.
- Buy one from Marthym’s Shop each month.
Overall, gathering Platinum Milicoins may take some time, but there are plenty of sources available, making the process manageable.
All Weapons in Persona 5: The Phantom X
This list will continue to grow over time, but for now, here are the weapons available in the global launch version of Persona 5: The Phantom X.
The stats listed for each weapon refer to their base forms. You can and should enhance them through upgrades, such as forging and overclocking, to maximize their potential. For instance, a base-form four-star weapon may be much less effective than a fully upgraded three-star weapon!
