After completing your trial to officially become Raidou Kuzunoha the 14th in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army, you’ll dive into the first chapter where your mission is to rescue a kidnapped schoolgirl from the Dark Realm and uncover the curse hidden in the basement of Daidouji Manor.

Venturing into the Dark Realm for the first time is no easy task, but it’s a great chance to capture early-game demons, explore the Goumaden, and get acquainted with various side quests in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army.

Step Into the Dark Realm

Once you step out into 1930s Tokyo after your initial tutorial, you should take time to explore the area and interact with the locals. Your two companions, Alp and Ukobach, will be helpful with their Investigation Skills.

Explore the town after leaving the academy, but make sure to head to the Ushigome-Gaeri Bridge and discuss your recent assignment with your colleague. Use the Ignite ability on them to dig deeper into the case, leading you to Daidouji Manor. Then, hop on the streetcar to reach your destination.

At the manor, you’ll converse with various staff members who will try to prevent you from entering certain rooms. However, you’ll learn how to send a demon on an individual investigation from the menu to check out areas that are off-limits for Raidou. Have Alp check out the study on the first floor to retrieve a photo from a shelf.

There are plenty of hidden treasures to discover by letting your familiars explore extra rooms. They’ll search storage spaces and might uncover useful items, making it worthwhile to check as you go.

After this section of the investigation, head north to Kamishiro-zaka to chat with some schoolgirls at the intersection about their missing friend. Use your Investigation Skills to guide your conversation.

The girls will tell you about Rin’s recent meetings with someone. When you find Rin down an alleyway east of Fujiko Parlor and follow her to a secluded spot, she gets kidnapped and taken into the Dark Realm. It’s now up to Raidou to follow and save her.

Capturing Demons and Leveling Up

Your first trip into the Dark Realm offers much to discover, which can feel overwhelming if you’re new to the game. However, right near the entrance, there are key elements to learn for success in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army.

Key points include:

• Dragon’s Founts allow you to save your game in the Dark Realm and unlock access to the Goumaden as you progress.
• Nakisawame provides free healing for you and your team. Make use of this often!

After saving and healing, you’ll face demons that emerge during your exploration of Dark Tsukudo-cho. A variety of them are lurking about, but initially, you’ll be limited in the number of demons you can capture.

Fortunately, as your level rises, you’ll acquire more tubes, allowing you to use the demons you’ve captured to help grind for experience (EXP). Explore Dark Tsukudo-cho to collect loot, which is typically marked on your map with a small crystal shape. Keep in mind that demons with the Investigate skill can find items while following you.

Feel free to explore and grind to your heart’s content, but be aware of the barrier that blocks your access to the area near Tamonten Shrine, indicating that you’ll need to navigate around through the Karukogawa Shopping District.

In this area, you’ll encounter a trio of Obariyons discussing what it means to be a demon summoner, warning you of a strong demon awaiting you ahead. As you approach the Narumi Detective Agency, the demons will attack, leading to a battle where you can easily win by using Pyro Order.

The Obariyons are vulnerable to Cryo and Wind magic, so summon the appropriate familiars to quickly defeat the waves of enemies. After these fights, continue onward, but tread carefully; your next challenge lies ahead.

Understanding Nethergates

This marks your introduction to Nethergates, which are gates sealed with elemental magic requiring the appropriate magic to break through. For the very first one, you’ll be advised to confine an Agathion before engaging in battle, as this particular Nethergate is weak to Volt Order demons.

With your electric magic attacks ready, challenge the Nethergate, and learn how to break elemental shields during combat. After a battle with the gate’s keepers, you’ll move on to the significant boss fight against Tsuchigumo.

This massive demon, located near the gate by the Tamonten Shrine, will discuss Rin before initiating an epic boss battle, marking your exit from Dark Tsukudo-cho for the first time.

Exploring the Abyss in Daidouji Manor’s Basement

Explore Tsukudo-cho and Capture Your Demons

Once you’ve returned from the Dark Realm to the regular Tsukudo-cho, it’s time to explore the newly unlocked areas. These include:

• The Goumaden – the demon fusion feature, where you can combine demons to enhance Raidou’s powers. Visit Kounno-ya to speak with Victor in the basement, where you can register demons and re-summon them while trying out demon fusions.
• Case Files – optional investigations that often involve solving simple puzzles, giving you various rewards such as skill books, cash, and EXP.
• Aril Rifts – located near Tamonten Shrine; Gouto-Doji will recommend addressing these early on. They provide a great opportunity to grind for EXP in the real world between investigations.

Once you’ve fully explored these options, return to Daidouji Manor and chat with the staff again. Navigate to the left path on the first floor to discover a notable study. Use a demon with Investigate ability to find a hidden switch to access the basement.

Big Tarrasque and Crossing Over

In the basement, you’ll encounter Big Tarrasque, who will request a specific type of alcohol. The staff upstairs informs you that a team member is sent to get the beverage but has yet to return. As a result, head back to Kamishiro-zaka and read the maid’s mind to uncover the situation. Speaking with her reveals you can procure the wine.

Go back to Daidouji Manor, enter the basement, and prepare for a challenging boss fight against Big Tarrasque. The battle will involve leveraging Pyro Order demons for an edge, but it can be difficult without first using the demons outside of Big Tarrasque’s area to grind for EXP.

Once defeated, Big Tarrasque will ask for some Pricey Beer, which you can find in one of the guest rooms on the manor’s second floor. Provide the beverage to Big Tarrasque, and he’ll transport you to the other side of the map in thanks.

Upon reaching the other side, inspect the bookshelf in the cage where you’ll discover Kaya’s Diary hidden within. Read it to learn more about the Daidouji family curse, then return to the living room to converse with Kiyoshi about what you’ve found.

On your way, you’ll encounter demons that were once dolls outside the jail cell, and Gashadokuro will confront you for yet another tough battle. Learning to jump to evade will be crucial for handling this boss fight.

Afterwards, make your way back to the living room to finally discuss the contents of the diary with Kiyoshi and progress in solving the first case in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army.
