How to Complete the Mouth of Hell Quest
Travel to the mines west of Old Kutna and locate the entrance. Once you descend the ladder, a cutscene will play, showing Henry plummeting to the base of the mine.
After the cutscene, Henry will have no inventory, and your task will be to escape from the mines. Move forward and take the left path, where you will spot a person running away.
Continue on until you find a torch on a barrel. Picking it up will help light your way.
Eventually, you will come across what appears to be a camp belonging to the knight you previously saw.
On the right side, you’ll discover a bed, and atop it, a lockpick. Take it to unlock the small red chest nearby. Inside the chest, you will find the Knight’s Contract; be sure to read it, as it will be helpful later on.
As you proceed, you will hear the knight speaking. Climb the ladder to follow him. You will eventually catch up, but be cautious, as he may attack you.
This is where the Knight’s Contract becomes useful. You’ll have the option to recite the words from the contract, which will prevent the knight from attacking and instead initiate a conversation.
After this exchange, you will have several dialogue choices. It’s advisable to lie and claim, "Yes, I’ll take over from you," as this will assist you in exiting the mines smoothly and reclaiming your items.
Once you are out of the mines, a group of people will be waiting for you and will express concerns about the knight. Since you have the Knight’s Contract, you can choose the option that says, "This contract explains everything."
After doing so, you should easily be able to convince the crowd not to engage in a fight, leading to a peaceful resolution to the situation. Completing these steps will finish the Mouth of Hell quest.
