Palworld has introduced an array of new foes in the Tides of Terraria update, including a formidable raid boss known as the Moon Lord. Fans of Terraria will likely recognize this legendary enemy, but it appears even more daunting in this new iteration.
The Moon Lord resembles an imposing giant, perfect for those seeking a true challenge. To bring it forth, you’ll need to create a Celestial Sigil and place it at your base. This boss is no pushover, so you’ll want to equip powerful long-range weapons to gain the upper hand. Remember, you can only inflict damage in certain areas, making strategy crucial.
How to Craft Celestial Sigils
To engage the Moon Lord, you’ll first need to summon it. Use one Celestial Sigil at the Summoning Altar to initiate the Raid.
The schematic for the Celestial Sigil can be obtained after defeating the Eye of Cthulhu. Make sure to enter the room that unlocks after this battle to collect it.
You can create the Celestial Sigil on a Primitive Workbench, which requires 100 Hallowed Bars.
Preparing for the Moon Lord Raid Boss Battle
The Moon Lord is considered one of the toughest bosses in Palworld, and success hinges on proper preparation and weapon selection. Close-quarters weapons won’t be effective at all. Instead, long-range weapons are essential for targeting specific body parts.
Additionally, the Moon Lord doesn’t have a specific type, so you can’t leverage particular Pals for an advantage. You’ll need the strongest Pals and equipment to stand a chance. We recommend crafting the Charge Rifle, Plasma Cannon, or Rocket Launcher, as these offer high damage potential in fewer strikes. Empower your Pals with strong ranged moves, like teaching Beam Comet to your Jetdragon or Nightmare Ball to your Selyne.
How to Defeat the Moon Lord
- Level: 50
- Health: 422,500
The Moon Lord cannot take damage from body attacks. Instead, you must target the eyes when they open in the head and hands. Be cautious, as this boss retaliates with its own attacks. Fortunately, your Pals will automatically target the vulnerable areas, so you can follow their lead.
Shooting the eye above its head can be tricky since it’s positioned too high. You may want to let your Pals handle it or find a high vantage point on your base.
The eyes will shoot projectiles and lasers, so you need to stay agile while dodging and attacking. Additionally, the Moon Lord will summon several eyes around it that also shoot lasers.
Once you manage to deplete the eye health, you’ll see your Pals targeting the middle area, near its neck. Focus your fire there to finish it off quickly. Upon defeating the Moon Lord, you’ll receive the following rewards:
- Training Crystal
- Ruby x6
- Ancient Civilization Parts x10
- Carrying Lotus (S)
- Power Lotus (S)
- Ancient Civilization Core x2
