Schedule 1 is a relaxed game centered around constructing a large-scale drug empire. You begin your journey under the mentorship of your grumpy Uncle Nelson and gradually work to enhance your reputation and clientele in Hyland Point. Early on, you’re working solo, delivering packages to customers in dark alleyways, but as you accumulate wealth, you’ll begin hiring your own team. All personnel are organized using the Management Clipboard.
At first, this may be a bit challenging since the Management Clipboard has several features that the game doesn’t clearly explain. You may encounter situations where your workers seem unproductive, for various reasons.
How to Acquire the Management Clipboard and Recruit Staff
You can hire staff at the illegal warehouse, which becomes accessible once you progress in the main storyline and reach Hoodlum V. This unlocks the warehouse where you can buy meth ingredients, an assortment of weapons, and meet Manny the Fixer—your go-to guy for hiring staff.
You can only make purchases at the illegal warehouse using cash, but there is an ATM available inside.
After you’ve hired a staff member, the next step is to decide which location they will work at. Initially, the only property available is the sweatshop, but as you advance, you’ll unlock additional locations like the Bungalow, Barn, and Docks.
How to Assign Workers via the Management Clipboard
The Management Clipboard allows you to select an employee and decide which workstations they will be assigned to.
For instance, if you have a Cleaner, you can designate specific bins for them to empty. If you have a Botanist, you’ll need to assign them grow tents and storage areas for their supplies.
It’s essential for every worker to have a bed. You can place beds in any of your properties, but it’s usually best to keep them close to their workstations. Be sure to regularly refill the cash at their beds or load up with enough cash at once, as your workers won’t be productive if they lack funds.
Effectively managing your workforce relies heavily on setting up a reliable supply chain. For example, while Botanists will create product, they do not package it, so you’ll need Handlers for that task. With extensive production from both Chemists and Botanists, doubling the number of Handlers might be necessary to keep up with demand.
Ideally, each property should focus on a different type of drug, or you may choose to concentrate on the most lucrative option available to you. At this stage in the game, that’s usually Cocaine. However, running a successful cocaine operation requires a combination of Botanists, Chemists, Handlers, and Cleaners.
Most of your gameplay will involve ordering supplies and collecting deliveries. While Handlers will assist in transferring supplies to their designated storage areas, the game currently lacks a dedicated product or delivery manager to streamline the ordering process.
