When you first dive into Date Everything, it might be tempting to seek a romantic connection with every Dateable character you encounter. After all, who doesn’t love love? However, with around 100 unique characters to explore, you won’t vibe with them all. Some may make better friends, while others you might just not get along with.
Date Everything doesn’t see love as the only goal in a relationship. Sure, friendships can blossom, but sometimes you might end up disliking someone. For instance, while Skylar is all about romance, Dorian prioritizes friendships, and then there’s Reggie, who thrives on negativity and prefers to see relationships crumble. Here’s how you can cross paths with Reggie.
Who Is Reggie?
Reggie, often called Regina, is one of the many Dateables in the game, but he’s not your typical character. Like Nightmare, Reggie is more of an abstract concept than a physical being. In this case, he represents rejection itself.
Regina has a unique affinity for negativity. Embracing a hater persona can actually endear you to Reggie, making it possible for you to form a connection—and perhaps even romance.
How To Meet Reggie
So, how do you meet Reggie? In hindsight, it’s quite straightforward, but not something you might be on the lookout for. Unlike other Dateables who appear in the world physically, Reggie needs to be summoned specifically.
To bring him into play, you need to make another Dateable hate you. It can be any of them. Once you accomplish your first Hate ending—whether by choice or because the Dateable finds you unappealing—Reggie will show up immediately to mock your rejection.
He loves the drama of it all and will gladly involve you in his negativity. To make it easier for you to connect with him, he’ll add an app to your phone so that you can reach out whenever you want. While there may not be a lot to do through this app, it’s nice to hear from him.
How To Change Your Relationship With Reggie
Since Reggie thrives on negativity, he will be present whenever you achieve a Hate ending, even if you’ve already met him. If he enjoys hate, does that mean he likes you for disliking others? The answer is somewhat intricate, but generally, yes.
The only way to boost your SPECS points is by getting an ending with a Dateable. Reggie may love disdain, but he isn’t without compassion. After you earn a few Hate endings—around five—he will warm up to you and offer his SPECS points. Most characters have a defined endpoint after an ending, but Reggie is different.
The more Hate endings you accumulate, the more delighted Reggie becomes. In fact, if you rack up enough Hate endings, it could lead to Reggie developing genuine affection for you, which is quite ironic. Conversely, if your journey is filled with love and you manage to erase all your Hate endings, Reggie will turn against you, resulting in his Hate ending.
Regardless of how your relationship with Reggie evolves, you will only earn SPECS points the first time you achieve an ending with him.
