How to Acquire and Farm Hallowed Bars
Hallowed Bars are a new resource introduced with the Tides of Terraria update, and there’s only one route to acquire them.
You probably guessed correctly: these bars can only be obtained from the Terraria Dungeon.
If you’re unsure of where to locate the Terraria Dungeon, you can find it just southeast of the Fisherman’s Point travel area on an island called the Sealed Realm of Terraria.
Once you reach the island and enter the dungeon, be prepared for a battle. It’s filled with enemies, so make sure to bring a shotgun with you; you’ll understand why soon.
This dungeon is structured like a series of interconnected chambers, reminiscent of rooms in 2D games, and you will explore each of them.
Inside the dungeon, keep an eye out for two important things: the randomly placed red jars found in nearly every room and the golden walls that appear near the end of the dungeon.
The red jars are scattered throughout the dungeon, but the golden walls, which generate additional Hallowed Bars, can only be found in the final room at the dungeon’s bottom.
After dropping down to the final room, there are various paths to explore: from the main room, taking the left path will lead you to a chest. Once you return, taking the right path followed by a left will lead you to more treasure.
The reason we recommend a shotgun is that it appears to be the most effective way to boost your chances of getting more Hallowed Bars from the red jars; however, it doesn’t influence the drop rate from the golden walls.
This is essentially the exclusive method for obtaining Hallowed Bars. With several runs through the dungeon, you should collect enough materials to craft numerous new weapons and armor pieces once you acquire their schematics.
You can enhance your farming strategy for Hallowed Bars by also looting all the chests within the dungeon, allowing you to gather the schematics for new gear.
