In Date Everything, each character stands out as a distinct personality. Some may have less depth than others, but even items that seem mundane, like desks and tables, have their own unique traits.

Where to Find Chance

In the game, Chance personifies G&G, which represents Graveyards and Gargoyles. No dungeons or dragons here—he’s a D20, the die that sits on your home office desk. With all the surrounding clutter, he might easily be overlooked.

When you interact with him, he appears cloaked, introducing you to the G&G realm through the familiar voice of Matt Mercer. It’s just a coincidence, right?

Chance’s G&G Session

After your initial encounter with Chance, he will set up a G&G session, asking you to choose one of four classes: Troubadour, Wizard, Warrior, or Rogue. This choice influences how you’ll play during the G&G session, so pick wisely. While the overall adventure remains the same, your selection affects the options available to you.

At the start of the session, you’ll have 50 Hit Points. If you lose all of them, your adventure will end in failure. Here’s how to navigate this journey successfully:

• Opt for the 25 Sass choice to gain 10 HP.
• After resting, you’ll regain an additional 20 HP. You can make any choices up to this point.
• Eventually, you’ll face a group of Knobgoblins. Choose “Strike Up the Band“.
• When asked to select a song, go for “Eardrums“.
• During the battle with the King, choose to Sing at Him for a 40 damage hit.

Once you reach this stage, any further choices should lead you to safety. With the right decisions, you can complete the session without losing any Hit Points. In the end, the Queen and her son will be saved, the party will be victorious, and the King will be defeated.

How to Achieve Each Ending with Chance

Like every other character, Chance offers three different endings that are influenced by how well you perform in his G&G session. Here’s how to unlock each one:

Love

To win Chance’s affection, it’s quite simple. Just engage enthusiastically, enjoy the G&G session, and achieve success. If you do this, he’ll fall for you. At the end, you’ll have the option to respond to his feelings, maintain a friendship, or even let him dislike you—it’s all up to you.

Friends

Being friends with Chance is quite similar to achieving love, but it arises more from your missteps. If you falter during the G&G session or make consistently dull choices, he’ll appreciate your participation but will want to keep your relationship strictly platonic.

Hate

It may seem harsh for someone as cheerful as Chance to hate you, but it is possible. To make him dislike you, just be consistently negative and dismissive throughout the session. Criticize the gameplay, mock the scenario, and fail intentionally. This will test even his patience!
