Completing the Gacha System in Blue Archive: A Guide to Solving

Blue Archive places you in the role of a Headmaster tasked with enhancing your students’ abilities. To achieve this, you’ll need to recruit characters through the gacha system. Understanding this system will help you determine which banners to pursue.

Different characters serve various roles in combat, so aiming for the most powerful options is crucial. If there’s a specific character you want, you can purchase Recruitment Tickets, or you can opt to use Pyroxenes on either the Regular or Pick-Up banners at no cost.

Regular Recruitment

The Regular Recruitment banner is always available and includes characters from the current Pick-Up banners, but it does not feature all limited characters. The chances of rolling a three-star character is around 0.026%, while two-star characters have a 0.84% chance, and one-star characters appear 4.4% of the time.

Every time you roll on this banner, you accumulate points. After 200 rolls, you can claim one character from the limited banners. Each roll costs 120 Pyroxenes.

Note: Points do not carry over after the limited time ends; instead, they convert into Keystone pieces.

If you end up with duplicates, they will be transformed into Eleph and Enigma, which can be used to upgrade your existing characters.

You can earn Pyroxenes from quests, tasks, events, and challenges. You can also find packs in the shop, but a ten-pull will typically set you back around $21, prices may vary by region.

Pick-Up Recruitment

Focus on Pick-Up Recruitment, as it offers a better chance of obtaining desired limited-time characters. The probability of getting the featured three-star character is 0.7%, but you might also encounter standard characters based on their rates in the Regular Recruitment banner.

Selective Recruitment

In Selective Recruitment, only three-star characters are available, representing the highest rarity in Blue Archive. This recruitment option isn’t free; you’ll need to buy Choice Tickets, allowing you to select your preferred three-star character.

Unlike other recruitment types, Selective Recruitment does not have a point system, meaning you can’t use Choice Tickets repetitively. You can also access your Choice Tickets directly from your inventory.

Note: The primary method of acquiring Choice Tickets is through purchase, but they may also be awarded during special events. Limited-time deals may be available for ticket purchases during specific promotions.

3-Star Guaranteed Recruitment

With a Three-Star Guaranteed Recruitment Ticket, you can recruit ten characters. As the name suggests, you will receive at least one three-star character and possibly additional one-star and two-star students.

Unlike Selective Recruitment, this option also allows you to accumulate points for additional characters after reaching 200. Each tenth recruitment gives you about a 0.87% chance to pull any of the featured characters.

Note: Recruitment tickets can be earned as rewards or purchased. A StartDash Three-Star Ticket is typically available for around $13.94.
