Chapter three of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army has been quite a ride, leading up to an epic showdown at Daidouji Factory against the enigmatic Dark Summoner, Rasputin. He summons a powerful demon to battle on his behalf, leaving Raidou and his companions to fight for survival.
The concluding boss fight with Chernobog can be particularly challenging if you’re not ready, but our guide will provide all the information you need to tackle this fierce enemy effectively.
Chernobog: Location and Affinities
As you navigate the third chapter of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, you’ll make your way through a maze inside Daidouji Factory. Along the way, you’ll need to rescue trapped workers and battle terrifying snake demons while collecting three shards to unlock the main door back at the factory.
Before returning to Daidouji Factory, consider backtracking to the central area of the puzzle. You can do this by interacting with one of the matryoshka dolls located between the two rows of three. This area is near a Dragon’s Fount, which allows you to save your progress and head to the Goumaden for fusion and recording of new demons, including Nakisawame’s Tears. This item allows you to heal Raidou and his companions back to full health without any cost.
While you’re at the Goumaden, think about which demons you want to bring into the Chernobog boss fight in chapter three. It’s essential to check Chernobog’s affinity chart to make informed decisions.

Since Chernobog is weak against Pyro Order magic, attacking it this way can be tricky. Many of your strongest Pyro Order familiars have their own weakness to ice, which Chernobog exploits during the fight. To counteract Chernobog’s heavy ice attacks, consider using a Cryo Order demon during this encounter.
By this stage in the game, there are plenty of powerful demons available for fusion in the Goumaden, as well as multiple Jack Frost demons you can capture in Daidoji Factory and the Training Hall.
Cryo Order shikigami can typically neutralize Cryo Order magic attacks, which makes many of Chernobog’s strongest moves ineffective against them. While you may still be affected by status ailments, preventing HP drain is a key strategy. Also, ensure that you have Raidou’s Pyro Skill equipped in your Sword Skills slots on the main menu. Although your Pyro Order demons may take extra damage from Chernobog’s ice attacks, Raidou himself will not.
How to Defeat Chernobog
After you’ve completed the labyrinth puzzle and healed up, return to the main area of Daidouji Factory. Use the crystals you collected to unlock the door at the back of the matryoshka puzzle. Inside, a cutscene with Kiyoshi Daidouji and Rasputin unfolds, where Rasputin, fatigued from Raidou’s pursuit, summons a Chernobog demon for you to fight before escaping.
The Chernobog battle might take some time, as the real Chernobog will initially refrain from fighting directly. Instead, it summons copies of itself with lower HP to test your skills against Raidou Kuzunoha XIV and his companions. You will have to battle eight fake Chernobog copies at the start. Although these copies can use powerful ice magic, they only have the three-way spread version, allowing you to dodge as Raidou to counterattack with your sword magic.
Pay attention to your Spirit Slash, as this powerful move can often eliminate an entire wave of the fake Chernobog enemies in one hit. Devil’s Bane is likewise useful; listen for Gouto’s cues and watch for on-screen prompts to execute attacks on anything close to defeat.
The fake Chernobogs attack Raidou in waves. In the first wave, you’ll face two copies, followed by two more waves, each comprising three fakes. You’ll need to defeat all eight before the final confrontation with Chernobog.
Once you’ve managed to outsmart the eight fakes, the real Chernobog will join the fight, and this portion is more challenging. Unlike the fake versions, the real one wields powerful ice magic, including Mabufudyne, which deals substantial ice damage over a wider area. Expect this boss to have triple the HP of its copies.
If you’re having difficulties tackling the real Chernobog with your Pyro Order demons, given their shared weaknesses, consider switching to a different demon type to conserve health. With the Pyro Skill equipped on Raidou for this fight, you can alternate between offensive moves with your demons while using Raidou’s attacks to exploit Chernobog’s fire magic susceptibility.
If your demons can withstand ice while still landing strong physical attacks, Raidou can exploit Chernobog’s weakness to fire magic with his Pyro Skill. This strategy allows your demons to join in and inflict physical damage, ultimately leading to the defeat of Chernobog in the third chapter of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army.
Unlike most demons, Chernobog becomes available for fusion in the Goumaden immediately after this battle.
