Completing the Drifter in Risk of Rain 2: Alloyed Collective

The Drifter is one of two new Survivors introduced in the third DLC for Risk of Rain 2, called Alloyed Collective. She returns from Risk of Rain Returns and uses her bag of items to adapt to different situations, pulling out temporary supplies for short bursts of power.

The Drifter has some of the most distinctive abilities in the game, making her a fun character to play. However, you’ll need to unlock her first. Below is a guide on how to complete the challenge called Lost in Transit, which is required to unlock the Drifter.

### How to Complete Lost in Transit

To unlock the Drifter, start by reaching Conduit Canyon using an Access Node. These objects are usually found in third-stage maps, especially in the Alloyed Collective map called Iron Alluvium.

The Access Node looks like a blinking red bomb, but it’s not dangerous. Interacting with it will cause a Virtual Portal to appear after you finish the Teleporter Event on the current map.

The Virtual Portal transports you to Conduit Canyon. Here, you need to collect Security Keys to open the door leading to the Teleporter, then defeat the boss called the Alloy Hunter. After defeating the boss, use the Teleporter to be taken to Solutional Haunt.

Solutional Haunt is a boss map where you’ll face Solus Wing. Keep these points in mind during the fight: hit its three weak points for big damage, and avoid or destroy the heat units that appear—standing near cooling units can help you avoid the heatwave effects.

Once you’ve defeated Solus Wing, two doors will open leading to different caves. One contains the TC-280 Drone, but the other is more important. Inside, you’ll find two Solus Coffers, each holding a Prison Matrix. Be sure to open and collect both.

With both Prison Matrices in hand, go back to the main arena and locate the console in front of a locked door. Use one Prison Matrix to open it and access the secret vault inside Solutional Haunt.

In the vault, you’ll find a broken HAN-D model, the Drifter’s Backpack, some chests, and the prison holding the Drifter. Use the second Prison Matrix to unlock her prison, and she will then be added as a playable survivor.
