Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition truly embraces its alien themes, featuring a multitude of extraterrestrial species across the expansive world of Mira. Among the exciting new life forms, the iconic Nopon return as some of Mira’s few native inhabitants.

These adorable creatures are as savvy in business as ever, with some even showing an interest in fashion. This brings us to "A Tip of the Cap," where you can play an active role in shaping the next wave of Nopon fashion trends on Mira.

How to Launch A Tip of the Cap

Getting started with "A Tip of the Cap" is straightforward, but you need to meet two key requirements. First, you must have completed Chapter Four, and second, you need to finish the "The Ties That Bind" Affinity Mission. This mission is centered around Tatsu’s journey to find Dodonga Caravan and reunite with his family.

The event unfolds in Dodonga Caravan. Once you’ve wrapped up "The Ties That Bind," chat with Nosusu to kick off the fashion project. Nosusu’s business is struggling, and she envisions hats as the solution.

Which Hat Will You Create?

Before you can start crafting hats, you’ll need to gather some initial materials: six Noctilucent Dragonflies, one piece of Harnenga Cotton, and two Lava Mangoes. You can find these items in Noctilum, and they will be marked on your map if you’re still searching for them.

Once you’ve collected everything, return to Dodonga Caravan and hand the materials to Nosusu. At this point, you’ll need to provide one additional item, choosing from two options:

  • Two Vibrant Plumes to make a Santa Hat
  • Two Fluffy Tufts to create a Beanie

Pick the option that appeals to you the most, as the rewards will remain the same regardless of your choice: 9,000 Credits, 170 EXP, and Soft Cat Ears. The real fun begins when you start seeing Nopon throughout the world sporting the hat you helped create. So, the next time you encounter a Nopon in your chosen style, you’ll know your decision made a fashion statement. You’re officially a trendsetter!
