Big Wheel Balloon Hunt is a task located in the Canyon Layer of Donkey Kong Bananza, which is the third layer you’ll explore. Set against a backdrop of rugged desert terrain, you’ll encounter numerous stone cliffs that you can dig into or climb. However, navigating Big Wheel Balloon Hunt can be tricky due to the slippery metal surfaces, requiring careful maneuvering.

Successfully popping all five balloons in Big Wheel Balloon Hunt earns you one Bananadium Gem. Plus, there are two additional Bananadium Gems hidden within the level, and we’re here to help you locate them.

Bananadium Gem 1 in Big Wheel Balloon Hunt

Your goal is to pop every balloon, so let’s break it down step by step. The first balloon can be found at the bottom of the wheel. Climb aboard, and you’ll pop it immediately at the start. The second balloon is located higher up on the wheel’s right side. You can easily climb there, making it another quick grab.

After this point, the next steps become a bit more complex, but the strategy remains consistent. First, punch a hole in the wheel and then stand inside the gap. This allows you to ride the wheel up to the top. As you start to lose balance, crawl out onto the rim and pop the third balloon. Next, punch down through the floor to access the fourth balloon.

Before you punch through the floor, check for Bananadium Gem 2.

Now, head to the edge of the left shelf. Here, punch through the wall, ride past the ledge’s edge, and enter the gap to pop the fifth and final balloon, which will spawn a Bananadium Gem near the exit.

On the outer side of the wheel, where the second balloon was, climb along the black metal strip in the tunnel all the way to the end. You’ll find an alcove with the Bananadium Gem. From this spot, you can also break through the wall to access the fourth balloon if you haven’t already.

Bananadium Gem 3 in Big Wheel Balloon Hunt

The third Bananadium Gem is easy to collect but can be hard to notice. Underneath the starting point on the big wheel, look for a patch of sand on the ground. Use a ground punch to tunnel down, and you’ll discover a basement with the final Bananadium Gem inside.
