Completing the Art of Freezing Enemies in Savage Planet

During this time, Slappi will present you with various challenges to keep things interesting. One of these is the Ice Ricochet challenge, where you’ll need to strategically freeze and take out enemies. To successfully complete it, follow these tips.

How to Unlock the Ice Ricochet Challenge

As you progress in Revenge of the Savage Planet, Slappi will frequently present you with challenges. Completing these challenges not only helps you improve your skills but also opens up chances for further upgrades. Each challenge consists of four smaller tasks, and there are four sets total.

The Ice Ricochet challenge is found in the third set. Your goal is to defeat three frozen enemies at once using a single Bounce Shot. Here’s how to do it.

How to Complete the Ice Ricochet Challenge

Before attempting this challenge, it’s crucial to unlock the Bounce Shot ability. This upgrade to your blaster enhances your Charge Shot, allowing it to bounce between nearby enemies, dealing damage to each of them.

Once you have the Bounce Shot, it’s time to find a suitable location. The only way to freeze enemies in the game is by using the Ice Detonator plant, which is available on every planet. A great place to accomplish this is in Zenithian Rift, where enemies are plentiful, and Ice Detonators are easy to find.

You’ll need to freeze three enemies together and then knock them out in one go with a Bounce Shot. Thankfully, once enemies are frozen, they can be taken down in a single hit. Just ensure that they’re close enough together, and your Bounce Shot will take them all down effortlessly.

This strategy works for all enemies, regardless of their strength. It’s best to lure multiple enemies to follow you, then shoot the Ice Detonator when they’re grouped together. Just be cautious: you can also get frozen. If that happens, you might not have enough time to charge your Bounce Shot before you break free. So, it’s wise to keep your distance from the Ice Detonator.

If you’re having trouble getting the enemies close together, don’t hesitate to throw some bait to make them attack each other—just make sure you do this with stronger enemies so they don’t eliminate each other too quickly. Once they’re frozen, unleash that Bounce Shot!
