How to Begin the Advanced Swordmaster Quest
To kick off this quest, you’ll need to head to Harko Village using an ornithopter.
When you arrive at Harko Village, make your way to the alley behind the CHOAM Exchange and look for a blind man with bandages covering his eyes. This is your advanced swordmaster trainer.
He’ll explain that your first task is to gather intel at a bar called Hannivar’s and later retrieve his missing sword hilt. Seron is out for revenge against those who wronged him and stole from him.
Just interact with him to begin your quest.
This quest includes some challenging combat scenarios, so be sure to equip a Holtzman Shield, a Suspensor Belt, and bring along plenty of health kits or bandages before you dive into this quest line.
Investigating Hannivar’s
Go to Hannivar’s, which is nearby the advanced swordmaster. While you can chat with the bar patrons to get a sense of the situation, your main goal is to head to the back corner of the bar.
There, look for a large scroll and interact with it to read the contents. You’ll use this information to confront a mercenary named Elara, who hired Sandflies to attack Seron.
Elara can be found in the back room across from the bar.
If you attempt to talk to Elara first, she’ll tell you there’s nothing to discuss. You can only proceed with the quest after finding the scroll.
After speaking with Elara, return to Seron with the information she provided.
Then, he will share the location of his missing sword hilt, which you need to find before you can receive training from him.
Returning the Sword Hilt
After your conversation with Seron, he will mark the Sandflies’ base location on your map.
Head to the Eastern Shield Wall area and ensure you stock up on ammo and health kits before proceeding.
Climb up the side of the Shield Wall to locate the base, then take out the enemies inside. You’ll need to defeat the Sandflies leader, who wields a flamethrower and can be found in the back room on the second floor of the base.
Once you defeat this enemy, loot their body to acquire the sword hilt.
Finally, return to Seron and give him the hilt to unlock the advanced swordmaster skill tree.
After completing this quest, you can keep taking on contracts for Seron to unlock even more advanced skills.
