The Abomination, or Mo, in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, stands as one of the toughest foes your team will face in Zombies mode. Unlike other timed events in the game, Mo features a number of complex mechanics that increase the difficulty significantly.
This battle is less straightforward than encounters with other zombie types. If you’re uncertain about how to defeat this abomination, this guide on the Abomination Challenge will provide crucial strategies and insights that you might miss.
How to Complete the Abomination Challenge
Upon choosing the Abomination Challenge from the Zombies menu in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, you’ll enter a cell-shaded area known as Liberty Falls. Similar to other zombie modes, it features a wave-based system.
Right after dropping onto the map, take care of the incoming zombies. This will help you earn points needed to access new areas. Directly beneath the spawn point, there are traps that can help you eliminate large groups of zombies.
Be cautious while facing these zombies. In this mode, your health won’t regenerate. If you lose health, search the ground for food dropped by defeated zombies. This will be your best bet for survival, as they drop food regularly.
If you’ve accumulated enough points, unlock the barrier behind the hotel, located straight in front of your spawn. Next, navigate through the narrow path that leads to a bowling alley. After gathering enough points, open the door to the bowling alley.
Grab the Marine SP, located on the wall near your entry point.
The bowling alley is an excellent spot to quickly build up points, as it offers a confined space. If you inflict substantial damage and enter Flow State, you’ll accumulate enough points to unlock the door leading out of the bowling alley.
You’ll recognize you’re in Flow State when your screen develops a purple tint. In this state, your damage output is doubled, enabling you to eliminate zombies with a single shot.
After exiting, look for another building directly across from you that houses a Tanto .22, which you should acquire.
Next, head towards the bus and turn right. You’ll find stairs leading up to a church. On the other side, there’s a gate that requires points to unlock, so ensure you have enough.
After passing through the gate, you’ll discover the entrance to a church enveloped in purple energy.
You’ll need ample points to open this door. Once it opens, Mo will be waiting on the other side.
Tips for Beating Mo The Abomination
The most crucial aspect of this encounter is understanding that Mo will become immune to the weapon you’re using after a short period. For example, if you start with the shotgun from the bowling alley, it will eventually become ineffective. It’s wise to have two different weapons ready before the fight begins.
Start by drawing him out of the church. The general strategy is to find and purchase new weapons whenever he becomes resistant to your current ones.
For maximum damage, aim for any of his three heads; these are the weak points of the creature.
As a second strategy, lure Mo into open areas equipped with traps. His attacks can inflict significant damage, but the traps will mitigate his weapon immunity.
Rewards for Completing the Abomination Challenge
After defeating Mo, you’ll be prompted to exfiltrate; failing to do so may lead to your death. Fortunately, you won’t lose any rewards since they are granted immediately upon defeating Mo.
Here are the rewards for completing this challenge:
- 15,000 XP
- Abomination Calling Card
- Hidden Power GobbleGum
