In the world of Elden Ring Nightreign, each Nightfarer has a unique remembrance quest. These quests serve as personal narratives that reward players with special relics, chalices, and skins. Although not as cryptic as some of the typical quests from FromSoftware, tackling all the remembrance tasks can still be challenging.

Recluse’s quest is one of the more straightforward remembrance tasks in Nightreign, but it can still be a bit tricky. In this guide, we will detail how to progress through all seven chapters of Recluse’s remembrance quest, from initiating it to collecting the rewards along the way. First, let’s explore how to unlock the remembrance quest in Roundtable Hold.

How to Begin Recluse’s Remembrance Quest

Like other Nightfarers, you can initiate Recluse’s remembrance quest using the journal located in Roundtable Hold. After defeating your first Nightlord while playing as Recluse, you’ll be able to engage with the journal and kick off her questline. This action will transport you to a different version of Roundtable Hold, beginning with Chapter 1.

Chapters 1-3

In the first chapter, you simply need to defeat a Nightlord while using Recluse. Any quest should suffice; for instance, the Tricephalos fight counts. Successfully completing this task will unlock the second chapter of her journal. Return to Roundtable Hold and examine the journal to begin her first remembrance step.

Chapter 2 will kick off the remembrance section in Roundtable Hold. Head to the Iron Menial in the west wing of Roundtable Hold. He’ll request that you demonstrate your commitment by defeating a night-tainted enemy and bringing back a Night Shard as proof. This step requires you to complete a quest as Recluse. You’ll receive a Night Shard as part of the rewards after the match.

Make your way back to Roundtable Hold and present the shard to the Iron Menial as proof of your victory. He’ll be near the Small Jar Bazaar when you return. Giving him the shard will reward you with Recluse’s Chalice for completing the quest. Take the shard back from him, then finish the remembrance event. If Chapter 4 isn’t unlocked yet, defeat another Nightlord before checking the journal again.

Chapters 4-5

Recluse’s fourth chapter will initiate another remembrance section in Roundtable Hold. To start this remembrance, approach the Site of Grace table and read the note. It will guide you to the beds located in the Waiting Room of Roundtable Hold. Go inside and examine the bed with the pool of blue blood. Completing this will grant you the Vestige of Night relic for Recluse.

Chapters 6-7

The sixth chapter will have you searching for a mysterious figure in Roundtable Hold. Head to the Sparring Grounds in the northeast corner of the area, where you’ll find the Iron Menial next to the tent that allows you to adjust your character’s stats. Upon conversing with him, you’ll sense that something is amiss. Attack the Iron Menial, and it will transform into a replica of Recluse. Speak with her until you see the text: “From somewhere, the sound of a heavy door opening rings out.“

Next, you need to locate the real Iron Menial. He’s behind a previously locked door in the western wing of Roundtable Hold. From the Small Jar Bazaar, go down the stairs to your right and make a left U-turn. The lock will now be removed. Descend to the lower floor, where you should find the Iron Menial unconscious near a coffin. Speak to him to finish this remembrance section, unlocking the Bone-Like Stone relic.

Chapter 7

Now that you’ve gathered Recluse’s relics and chalice, the last task is to complete the final expedition. You will unlock the battle with the Night Lord after defeating four Nightlord bosses. Upon defeating the final boss, you’ll be teleported back to Roundtable Hold in a remembrance sequence. Go to the beds in the waiting room and interact with the crying baby to conclude the quest chain. As a final reward, you’ll unlock Recluse’s remembrance skin.
