Peak is a unique multiplayer survival game. Instead of focusing on building a base in a harsh environment, you play as a scout aiming to reach the highest point for a chance to be rescued from the dangerous island where you’ve crash-landed.
Although the game emphasizes multiplayer, you can also dive in solo if that’s your preference. Whether your friends don’t have the game or you just want to play alone, it’s totally fine. Let’s explore how to enjoy this game solo along with some handy tips to help you last longer.
Completing the game and getting rescued while playing solo earns you the Lone Wolf Badge, adding to your achievements!’
How to Play Alone
There are two ways to play Peak solo. First, you can create an online session and skip inviting anyone. This is useful if a friend may join later, allowing you to get started right away. You can send invitations from within the game without needing to restart.
Alternatively, select the Play Offline option from the main menu. This option, which features a single climber icon, is perfect for solo play if you don’t intend to invite others.
Tips for Playing Solo

Some of the beginner tips for Peak apply to solo play as well, like ensuring you’re carrying extra food and avoiding overpacking your backpack.
However, while playing alone, you can’t depend on friends to help you climb or revive you if you fall. Therefore, you need to be more cautious. A single misstep could mean starting over from scratch.
Descending requires less stamina than climbing. So if you’re out of upward paths, it’s okay to go back down to reassess your route.
Keep an eye on the rising fog. If you go too low or climb too slowly and the fog catches up, you will start to freeze. Always carry at least one spicy fruit from the Tropics to help fight the cold.

While playing solo, tools like rope or chain launchers and pitons become invaluable.
Since you lack teammates to place ropes for you, launchers can help you climb with less stamina. Additionally, pitons allow you to rest and recover stamina without losing your progress.
Just remember that carrying items like ropes and pitons can be heavy, which may lower your stamina. Make sure to consume plenty of energy-boosting food or drinks to keep your strength up!
