Completing Fountain Rider Valve Locations and Solving Issues in Squirreled Away

In the charming world of Squirreled Away, players can find plenty of joy within its compact environments. After completing all the tasks in the initial area, The Forest Nook, and having conversations with Daredevil, you’ll gain access to the next map section: Fountain Springs.

Your first encounter in Fountain Springs will likely be with Tiff, a friendly squirrel ready to offer you a quest. To advance further in the game, you’ll need to complete Tiff’s task. Here’s how to get started.

Locating Tiff

Tiff is positioned straight ahead and slightly to the right of your entry point into Fountain Springs. You’ll find Tiff on the far side of a park bench, seated in front of a broken fountain.

If you have trouble locating other characters, use Squirrel Vision to highlight their locations and gauge your distance from them.

Engage in conversation with Tiff to begin The Fountain Rider quest. This will require you to craft a Bonker (if you haven’t done so already) and repair three valves to restore the fountain’s water flow.

Crafting a Bonker

To create a Bonker, you’ll need:

Eight planks
Four can scraps
Two pull tabs
Two resin

You can scrap some cans to get the pull tabs, which are plentiful around Fountain Springs. The other materials can easily be found and crafted in The Forest Nook.

Identifying Each Valve’s Location

After crafting the Bonker, it’s time to repair the three valves attached to the fountain.

First Valve

The first valve is very close to Tiff, located to the right of the fountain.

Second Valve

The second valve is located further back, to the left. It can be found past the squirrel sanctuary and to the left of a small river in the area.

Third Valve

The last valve can be found behind the map in Fountain Springs, near the small bridge over the river. Look for a large wall that elevates the area above Fountain Springs, with the valve located just to the right of the vending machines.

Returning to Tiff

After you’ve fixed all three valves with the Bonker, head back to Tiff. Tiff will express gratitude, and the fountain will once again function properly. With the fountain operating correctly, you’ll be able to launch yourself up the water stream to access the area above, which is necessary for moving forward.
