Feather Priest – Lu Bingzhang
Lu Bingzhang is the second big boss you will fight in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Like the first boss, he can be tricky if you’re not ready for him.
Lu Bingzhang is a little tougher than the previous enemies, combining quick attacks with Corruption buildup to challenge you. Luckily, he doesn’t switch phases like many other bosses, so once you’ve learned his moves, defeating him becomes much easier.
Where to Find Feathered Priest Lu Bingzhang
You can find Lu Bingzhang easily in the attic of the main temple at Shu Sanctum. Simply go up the stairs next to the shrine, then continue up the next set of stairs and open the double doors to reach him.
Preparation
There’s not much you need to do to prepare for Bingzhang, but it is helpful to have some Purple Camellia. Many of his attacks cause Corruption damage, and some leave lingering puddles on the ground. Having these items can help you avoid trouble.
Additionally, you can increase your Madness level for a small damage boost without risking summoning your Inner Demon if you die. Equipping armor resistant to Corruption buildup, like the Dazzling Fake Monk Robes, can also give you extra protection.
Use a Bone Whistle to summon an ally if you’ve completed Nian Suichang’s side quest for more support during the fight.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Lu Bingzhang’s main strength is his ability to deal significant Corruption damage quickly. He has several high-damage moves, such as jump-in slams and quick grabs that can be deadly. Thankfully, these moves have clear signs that are easy to spot and avoid.
He isn’t very agile and mostly shuffles towards you, giving you time to back away and heal if needed. He spends a lot of time recovering after attacking, making the fight more about patience and timing your strikes correctly.

Corruption Puddles | He slams the ground, creating puddles of Corruption underneath. | Keep moving around to avoid the puddles while he attacks. |
How to Defeat Lu Bingzhang
The key to beating Bingzhang is to keep the pressure on. He takes some time to recover after most of his attacks, giving you chances to strike. Moving close or shuffling around allows you to use ranged attacks effectively.
Since his attacks are mostly punishable, build up enough stagger to land a few Obliterate Strikes, which deal heavy damage and knock him down. Watch out for his Spear Slams and grabs, and you’ll be able to handle him with ease and claim your rewards.
