In Hell Is Us, you face Limbic Entities, which are pure expressions of human emotion. You have a good range of tools to help you defeat this alien threat, including Limbic Weapons and Drone abilities. One of the most useful items you can use are Relics.

Relics are scattered throughout the country of Hadea and are remnants of its old history, still just as powerful today. In this game, there are various Relics to find, each with its own location and purpose.

What Are Relics?

Relics come in two types: active and passive. Active Relics are used in conjunction with your weapons’ Glyphs in the ability menu, but they rely on cooldowns instead of Limbic Energy, similar to Drone abilities. Passive Relics act more like protective gear. Their effects are constantly active and they provide stronger benefits, giving you more freedom to customize your build without solely depending on your defensive stats or Limbic Sphere.

Every Relic and What It Does

There are 29 Relics in total—14 active and 15 passive. They help boost defenses, restore health or Limbic Energy, or even eliminate certain enemies instantly.

Many Relics have significant cooldowns, so it’s best to use them only in critical moments. Keep in mind that cooldowns continue by ticking down even during puzzles or conversations.

Where to Find Every Relic

Relics are usually obtained through three main ways: returning to Gildas after completing a Good Deed or ending a Timeloop, completing Mysteries, or exploring Vaults of Forbidden Knowledge. The locations for each relic are as follows:

Relic Area Location Details
Call Of The Griffon Under Jova, Acasa Marshes After completing the Land of Milk and Honey Good Deed with Gildas
Heart Of The Griffon Acasa Marshes In the Vault of Forbidden Knowledge
Knell Of Waning Grief Vyssa Hills After closing the St. Francis Church Timeloop with Gildas
Aster’s Band Of Domination Lake Cynon In Modus’ Tomb along with his hammer
Memoria Of The Phol Lake Cynon In the Vault of Forbidden Knowledge
Knell Of Ebbing Ecstasy Talju Given by Gildas after saving all four survivors during the A Light In The Dark Good Deed
Knell Of Receding Rage Jeljin After closing the Jeljin Timeloop with Gildas
Chalice of Everflowing Turmoil Jeljin In the Vault of Forbidden Knowledge
Knell Of Fading Terror Marastan After completing the Depths of Hell Good Deed with Gildas
Orison Of Valour Marastan In the Vault of Forbidden Knowledge
Kolig’s Providence Lake Cynon After closing the Timeloop with Gildas
The Benediction Of Palom Auriga Museum After completing the Lost and Found Good Deed
Blessed Hand Of Sethyris Auriga Museum After closing the B4 Timeloop with Gildas
Wisdom Of The Griffon Plain of Mists, Temple of the Fallen After closing the Timeloop with Gildas

Similarly, passive Relics are often given by Gildas after specific events or are found during investigations.

Keep in mind that, aside from story-related Relics like Aster’s Band of Domination and Mark of the Betrayed, most Relics are earned through exploration, completing missions, or solving mysteries. It may take some time to collect the exact Relics you want since Gildas doesn’t specify which Relic comes from which event, and all are handed in at once.
