You can start catching creatures on Stellaris Prime as soon as you get the proton whip in the early stages of the game, so be ready to use your lasso to grab some creatures and bring them back for research.

Raccocco |
Slarragon Forest The easiest way to find them is by following the main storyline or locating them near a teleporter close to the forest’s entrance from Nu Florida. |
If you avoid attacking them first, Raccocco are simple to catch. |
Beetle |
Slarragon Forest Commonly found around cliff sides, especially leading up to the Cliffs of Abadoon. |
Stun it by hitting its purple shell before using your lasso, or it may escape. |
Fecal Beetle |
Slarragon Forest Found in various spots; you’ll need to defeat a few to access Scuttling Grotto. |
Use your whip to destroy the growths on its back to expose its weak point and then stun it by attacking that spot. |
Trickle |
Slarragon Forest and Chuggler’s Swamp They emerge from coral-like tube plants when you walk by and can be aggressive. |
It’s best to eliminate nearby Trickles first before trying to lasso one remaining creature. |
Mito Slime |
Slarragon Forest, Chuggler’s Swamp, and Cliffs of Abaddoon These green slimes leave trails and often attack in groups. |
Shoot the larger slime to break it into smaller pieces for easy lassoing. |
Alpha Raccocco |
Slarragon Forest Usually found alongside regular Raccocco as their protector. |
Make sure not to attack nearby Raccocco to easily catch the Alpha version. |
Hognork |
Cliffs of Abaddoon This is a key part of the storyline and cannot be skipped. |
Stun it by hitting the weak spot in its mouth before lassoing the Hognork. |
The more creatures you capture, the more useful your research will be back at the base. While you can catch the Hognork easily, some creatures require capturing multiple individuals to raise their research rank.
