The **Tony Hawk** series has always featured entertaining cameo characters, and **Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4** is no different. However, there’s no single method to unlock every skater. You can acquire them through various means, including direct purchases from the shop, using real money, or completing specific challenges.
This guide will walk you through each character that isn’t part of the base roster and explain how to unlock them. Additionally, we’ll provide tips on how to quickly earn the cash needed for those purchases. Consider this your go-to reference for accessing every character in the game.
Characters Available in the Secret Shop
Besides the deluxe edition skaters, **every character you unlock must be bought in the Secret Shop**. Not all characters are available at once; some need to be unlocked by completing specific objectives. No matter what, you’ll need to fork over some cash to get them. Here are a few quick tips for earning some quick cash.
Luckily, you can earn a decent amount just by playing through the levels. Each stage hides bundles of cash, with **each worth $1,000**. However, the quickest way to make money is by diving into Photo Mode and quickly cycling through every visual filter in the fourth menu. This completes the Styles Upon Styles Tricks Challenge, awarding you **$5,000**!
How to Unlock Andy Anderson
Andy Anderson stands out as one of the leading skaters of this era, notable for his advocacy of wearing helmets and his impressive skills. Notably, he’s the only Canadian in the lineup, which seems odd considering how great the Canada stage is. You can buy Andy right away as soon as you have enough cash. He costs a total of **$5,000** from the Secret Shop.
How to Unlock Bam Margera
Bam Margera was one of the most beloved skaters in the original **Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3**, and there was some debate about whether he would return. Ultimately, Tony Hawk himself ensured that Bam made the cut. Like Andy, you can **pick up Bam at the Secret Shop for $5,000**.
How to Unlock Michelangelo
Michelangelo, or Mikey, is one of the most thrilling additions to the game, and likely the most iconic cameo. He’s available for purchase in the Secret Shop right from the beginning. To recruit him, you just need to pay **$10,000**.
How to Unlock Constable Richard
Constable Richard is the modern version of Officer Dick, featuring the voice and likeness of Hollywood star Jack Black. He’s also a fun character to unlock. To get Constable Richard, you need to locate a panda in every stage of **Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4**. Once you’ve found all 18 pandas, you can buy him for **$5,000**. Below, you’ll find the locations of each panda.
Stage | Panda Location |
---|---|
Foundry | This panda is in the back corner on the second floor of the Foundry. |
Canada | Look for the panda resting beside a tree surrounded by a ramp, in the area below The Horn grind. |
Rio | In the corner of the Rio map, you’ll find a fountain with a panda sitting beside it. |
Suburbia | Once you break into the backyard of the haunted house, find the panda on the ramp. |
Airport | Find this panda above the entrance of gate C2. |
Skater Island | This panda is on the beach behind a small rowboat. |
Los Angeles | You can spot this panda in the underground halfpipe near a building with shatterable glass. |
Tokyo | This panda is in the secret section, tucked behind the entrance on the first floor, beside the ramp. |
Cruise Ship | From the starting point, go to the lower deck on the right side. The panda is sitting in one of the flower beds above you. |
College | Next to the parking complex, you’ll find a small building with a roof that has ferns on all corners. The panda is on this roof. |
San Francisco | This panda is located on the roof of the building on the pier to the left side of the map. |
Movie Studio | Find this panda on the second level of the scaffolding surrounding Studio 34. |
Alcatraz | This panda can be found on the platform halfway up the big guard tower, reached by grinding a wire from the roof. |
Waterpark | Go to the castle to find this panda sitting on a ledge running alongside it. |
Kona | Located in the grassy area with a dumpster near a ramp, the panda is behind the dumpster. |
Shipyard | This panda is sitting along the walkway around a building near the pier. Look for it across from the building near a hanging shipping container. |
London | This panda is next to a trash bin in the underground parking area. |
Zoo | The panda can be found in the back right corner of the stage, above the cage. |
Pinball | Finally, look for this panda behind the massive billboard above the zombie cop holding a stop sign. |
While I’ve provided the location of every panda, some can be challenging to reach, even if you know where they are. Don’t worry! A more detailed guide is in the works and will be linked here once it’s published.
How to Unlock Birdman
Birdman is the ultimate character to unlock in **Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4**. To get this unique bird, you must complete every starter goal in all stages of the game. You only need to finish the starter goals, not the Pro goals, Platinum Medals, or Expert Challenges. Once you’ve done that, you can buy the **Strange Feathers from the Secret Shop for $5,000**, allowing you to unlock Birdman.
How to Unlock The Revenant and Doom Slayer
Unfortunately, the Revenant and Doom Slayer can’t be unlocked through gameplay. These characters are available as paid DLC. If you want to skate with them, you’ll need to purchase them either through the **Deluxe Edition** or as a **Content Pack upgrade** for the standard version.
