As you explore Palworld, you’ll soon realize that the gameplay mechanics, while seemingly straightforward, have plenty of depth. You’ll need to familiarize yourself with the resources required for crafting items and learn how to construct the right facilities to strengthen your base. The game gradually unveils its complexities. Additionally, each Pal you gather possesses unique skills that can assist you in various tasks, whether during battles or in daily operations.

While many Pals roam the various biomes of the game, a few are tied to the newly added fishing feature. One such Pal is Dumud Gild, which requires a different method of capture compared to your usual encounters.

How to Catch Dumud Gild

To catch Dumud Gild, you’ll need to fish in specific areas. Before you embark on this adventure, ensure you have a high-level fishing rod and quality bait—both of which can be unlocked through the Technology menu.

There are two main spots where you can try your luck. The first is located in the Sealed Realm of Terraria, near the Terraria dungeon. Close to the fast travel point, you’ll find a few fishing spots.

Another promising location is Oasis Isle, situated just east of the desert biome. At the back of the island, there’s a patch of sand surrounded by several fishing spots.

It’s worth noting that using the Advanced Fishing Rod with Alluring Bait can increase your chances of successfully catching Dumud Gild.

Dumud Gild is an alternate version of the existing Dumud, and they share many features. This Gild variant is a Ground/Water type Pal adept at Mining, boasting a skill level of 2 in that area. It can also assist with Watering, Farming, and Transporting at level 1.

While Dumud Gild isn’t the strongest fighter, having it on a team stacked with Ground Pals can enhance their attack strength.

There are additional locations where you can try fishing for Dumud Gild, particularly around bodies of water in the Dessicated Desert. Check the map below for highlighted areas where you may find success.
