The battle is explosive, with players often finding themselves pushed to the edges of the arena, flames raging behind them. To survive the Darkdrift Knight and earn his one-of-a-kind prize, having a solid strategy is essential.

How to Gear Up for the Everdark Sovereign: Darkdrift Knight

Before you step into this challenging battle, here are some important preparations:

Fragile characters may find this battle daunting without adept gameplay, as they can easily be taken down in just a few hits. However, these characters excel in dealing damage.

Consequently, an ideal team configuration for this fight would consist of:

One ranged support

Spellcasters should be judicious in choosing their spells, as Fulghor’s constant movement can make targeting difficult. Opt for spells that track or cover a large area.

Recommended Combatants Overview

Recluse and Revenant: These two range supports excel at burning through the boss’s HP. At least one is crucial for ending the fight faster. However, both struggle with stamina for dodging and taking hits. Revenant benefits from her summons and revival Art, but managing FP during a lengthy battle can be challenging without enough starlight shards. Recluse has a slight edge, capable of using Lightning for powerful Magic Cocktails and boasting better HP.
Wylder: Possibly the best choice for this fight, Wylder can dish out damage and sustain hits. He’s great for applying Fire to enhance Recluse’s cocktails and can effectively maneuver around Fulghor.
Guardian and Executor: These two fulfill pivotal tank roles. Guardian absorbs hits well but is more defensive, while Executor offers better damage dealt with his parry abilities. Use Guardian for teams focused on defense and Executor for a more aggressive approach.

Characters like Ironeye and Duchess may struggle. Duchess excels at dodging and early status effects but falters in later phases, becoming more of a support role for reviving teammates. Ironeye can stagger foes and inflict Poison at range but also has issues with endurance and damage output.

Everdark Sovereign: Darkdrift Knight’s Updated Move Set

Dramatic Introduction: This move launches Fulghor into the arena, creating a shockwave, and should be approached cautiously by sidestepping or holding back.
Phase Transition: At about 60-70% health, Fulghor rises into the air, revealing an opening for ranged attacks before unleashing Gold From Above arrows.
Gold From Above: Fulghor shoots arrows that rain down and can quickly add up damage. Stay nimble, as dodging sideways or back can help get around these projectiles.
Fulghor’s Assault: This combination attack can hit multiple characters, requiring quick backstepping and strategic dodging.
Tactical Arrow Nuke: Possibly his most dangerous move, evade by sprinting underneath him to reach safety on the other side.
