Mecha Break is a free-to-play game that allows you to personalize your Striker in countless ways. As you progress, you unlock even more customization options, making it wise to invest some time in this game for the long haul. You’ll have the freedom to modify either the entire mech or just specific parts.
This level of customization offers hours of fun as you experiment with your Striker’s appearance. However, the game is filled with notifications, which might distract you from remembering to make those changes. This guide will show you how to easily update your mech’s look.
How To Customize A Striker
You can change your Striker’s appearance right from the main menu of Mecha Break. Start by navigating to the Striker Bay Tab in the lobby. After that, a new menu will pop up with options under the Striker Bay Tab.
Once you select Striker Design, which is the second-to-last option in the sub-menu, the screen will shift to show you three design slots on the left side. One slot will be unlocked, while the other two can be accessed with Mission Tokens.
You can earn these tokens by participating in PVE matches like Mashmak or by completing daily sign-ins. Playing Operations and achieving various challenges will also net you additional tokens.
When you choose an unlocked slot, a menu will display several options on the left that let you customize different elements of your mech.
- Skin: This option lets you change the overall look of your Striker, giving it a unique appearance compared to the base design.
- Paint: You can customize the color scheme of the entire mech or choose specific parts to alter. This option offers more variety compared to skins.
- Pattern/Insignia: Patterns apply to one part of the Striker, while insignias can be placed on multiple areas.
- Accent: This allows you to modify the outlines and highlights of the mech, helping to distinguish colors that blend into each other.
Once you finalize a design, you can save it for future use.
How To Unlock More Cosmetics
In Mecha Break, there are various methods to unlock more customization options for your Striker. Some may require real money, while others depend on grinding in-game.
Mashmak Mode
The easiest way to earn new cosmetics is through Mashmak Mode. This PVE section involves battling enemies and completing objectives. Defeating and looting enemies can give you a chance to earn a free paint kit.
If you don’t get one the first time, keep playing the mission. The more you engage, the greater your chances of finding a paint kit.
Mission Tokens
With enough tokens from your gameplay, you can purchase individual options on the Striker design page. If you’ve acquired a significant amount, consider using them in the Matrix Selections under the Logistics Tab.
Keep in mind that these items can be quite pricey, so save up your Mission Tokens.
Corite
This serves as the premium currency in the game, meaning you will need to spend real money to obtain it. To use Corite for design options, head to the Matrix Marketplace where you can either bid on or buy items directly.
Using Corite, you can access designs and other enhancements that are not available in the basic version of the game. Therefore, it might be worthwhile to invest a few dollars now and then to obtain better customization options.
