Upon arriving in the Shivering Isles in Oblivion Remastered, you’ll quickly notice how peculiar this realm is after chatting with its inhabitants. A brief tour through Crucible, the Dementia section of New Sheoth, vividly shows the harshness of life here, particularly for vulnerable souls like Sickly Bernice.

Bernice, the owner of Sickly Bernice’s Taphouse, is afflicted by a mysterious illness and fears her time is running out to find a remedy. In her desperation, she turns to you for assistance, leaving you with the vital task of finding a cure to save her life before it’s too late.

Starting a Liquid Solution

To kick off a Liquid Solution, head to Sickly Bernice’s Taphouse in Crucible.

This establishment is located on the southern side of Crucible, right next to Muutine’s House.

Upon your arrival, approach the counter and talk to Sickly Bernice to learn more about her unusual ailment.

When you ask how you can help, she will request some aquanostrum, typically found in a pool at the base of Knotty Bramble.

Obtaining Aquanostrum for Sickly Bernice

Make your way to Knotty Bramble, located in the southern part of the Shivering Isles, south of the Hill of Suicides and west of Xavara, east of Pinnacle Road.

Inside Knotty Bramble, you’ll come across several Grummites that will attack you on sight. Fight your way along the linear path heading west, then turn north to proceed toward your goal.

After encountering a Grummite past some Twisted Roots in the central area, head north and continue until you reach the entrance to Knotty Bramble’s Hatchery.

Go down the path ahead, and you’ll find a large room featuring the pool of water mentioned by Sickly Bernice.

Simply dive into the water near the statue, and your objective will update, confirming you’ve collected the aquanostrum you need.

Now, exit Knotty Bramble and return to Sickly Bernice at her Taphouse.

Rewards from a Liquid Solution

Once you arrive, speak with Sickly Bernice, then choose the ‘Cure’ dialogue option; she’ll thank you profusely for helping save her life.

As a reward for your brave efforts, you’ll receive the Circlet of Verdure Ring, which provides:

Resist Disease by 60 percent
Resist Poison by 60 percent
Fortify Health by 35 points
Fortify Endurance by 12 points

This ring is an excellent asset for wandering adventurers and can significantly reduce your chances of contracting diseases, thus minimizing your reliance on Potions of Cure Disease.
