Donkey Kong Bananza has arrived, and while some players have finished the game and shared spoilers online, others are enjoying the Artist mode, which is great for creativity.
This feature was only briefly mentioned before the game’s launch, but it allows players to sculpt statues using the game’s impressive destruction mechanics, starting with a blank Donkey Kong head. Unfortunately, Nintendo seems to have underestimated how wild their fans can be.
Donkey Kong Bananza’s Artist Mode Has Already Spawned Some Cursed Creations
Let’s start with a simple example. A Reddit user named Sinestesis shared a fun recreation of a well-known Donkey Kong meme, showcasing his playful “come hither” expression.
Next, some players have turned Donkey Kong into other characters, with Sans from Undertale being a popular choice. Notable contributions include KurrySp1se on Twitter and MallouMario on Reddit, the latter presenting a dramatic version.
Now we move into some of the more bizarre creations. A Reddit user named Mannihorst used Artist mode to recreate Donkey Kong in a crucifixion scene. It’s not as detailed as other pieces but definitely stands out for its unusual theme. It’s worth mentioning that this isn’t the first time fans have depicted Nintendo characters in this manner.
Lastly, there’s the creation everyone anticipated. One user went viral after posting a model of private parts, dubbed “Konkey Dong,” showcasing the playful side of the Artist mode. Let’s hope Nintendo isn’t too strict with monitoring these in-game chat interactions.
