Management games are an entertaining and engaging way to pass the time. There’s always something new to create or expand, or you might simply enjoy watching your customers interact. If you’re in search of a management game featuring adorable animals in a spa setting, **Animal Spa** is just what you need!

This guide offers some essential tips for newcomers to help you set up and run your spa efficiently. We’ll also provide insights for those unfamiliar with this style of game, which only occupies the bottom section of your screen.

Invest in Operational Facilities

In Animal Spa, you’ll encounter five key categories of items and decorations, with the **Operational Facilities** indicated by a pencil and paper icon. Initially, you’ll unlock only a limited number of these facilities, but as you progress and earn medals, you can add more options. Doing so is highly recommended as it can enhance your spa’s efficiency and smooth operations.

For instance, the Staff Training Room allows you to utilize stars for upgrading your staff. If you’re starting with a small team, upgrading can be particularly beneficial. One upgrade we appreciate prevents floors from getting wet too quickly after cleaning.

Utilize Flooring to Define Areas

Animal Spa has no walls, which means each floor essentially functions as an open space. Thankfully, there are plenty of flooring options that can help demarcate different areas. You might choose wooden flooring for hallways and tile or stone for the bathing zones.

When you unlock items such as showers or sinks, opt for a different-colored tile to create a ‘bathroom’ look. We also used darker flooring to designate a staff area for items like the Staff Training Room, Staff Hat Management Locker, and the Operation Desk.

Install Towel Racks Frequently

Your guests will regularly get wet, which can lead to puddles that others might slip on. Although you can unlock a codex entry for the beaver by observing these slips happen 1,000 times, it’s best to keep your guests safe and avoid excessive slipping.

To minimize this, we recommend placing towel racks near your bathing areas. Also, add a Towel Collection Bin nearby to allow guests to return used towels. You can even customize towel colors, which guests can wear on their heads.

Distribute Your Amenities

While it’s tempting to cluster all your food and drink stalls in one area, it’s wise to **spread out your amenities**. Instead of filling a floor solely with food, mix in some bathing areas and other facilities.

This strategy encourages guests to explore and ensures they can find everything they need nearby. Plus, it gives your spa a bustling atmosphere!

You can adjust your entrance fee at the Operation Desk. Setting a higher fee reduces the number of guests, while a lower fee attracts more. Use this to control your guest count.

Design Specific Themed Areas

This tip complements the idea of using flooring for separate zones. With various item types available, organizing everything can be overwhelming. Instead of cramming everything onto one floor, think about theming certain areas.

For example, you could allocate one floor to simple wooden baths and a small vending area, while dedicating a second floor to larger baths and additional bathroom facilities. Given that some food stalls occupy more space than others, consider creating a designated food vendor area.

Examine Guest Preferences

Each guest has unique preferences, which you can discover by clicking on them. This will reveal their ideal bath temperature and favorite food or drinks. While not all guests have dislikes, any that do will be noted as well.

You can also track what guests are doing and what items they have. At the Bath Supplies Shop, guests can purchase items for their bathing experience and for their departure. Overall, checking guest interests is crucial; you might need to add more baths at their preferred temperatures or introduce additional food options.

Having trouble distinguishing staff from guests? Equip them with uniforms, like hats, so you can easily identify your employees.

Engage with Guest Interactions

Occasionally, guests will interact, resulting in a white dialogue box appearing above them. By clicking on this, you can read a brief conversation and earn a star.

These stars can be spent to hire or upgrade staff and place special items. While one star may not seem significant, consistently clicking on interactions will accumulate stars over time.

Establish Worker Priorities

Once you hire a worker, they can operate on any floor of the spa. Instead of letting them roam freely, assign them to specific floors and set their priorities. For example, if you have four staff members across two floors, assign two to each level.

You could designate one employee to manage cleaning up puddles while another focuses on restocking supplies. This organized structure helps keep your spa clean and well-stocked for guests.

If a staff member works at the Bath Supplies Shop, they cannot perform any other tasks unless you’re reassigned.

Expand Bath Sizes

The basic baths you start with are quite small, but did you know you can increase their size? While this requires some funds, you can upgrade baths to medium or large (with small being the default size).

Larger baths not only take up more space but also allow more guests to relax simultaneously. This is a practical way to utilize space without overcrowding an area with multiple small baths.

While you can place decorations on baths, only medium and large baths can accommodate floating items. This includes simple touches like bubbles or even food baskets. You can also add “flavor” pouches to the water; guests will show hearts above their heads if they enjoy the temperature and pouch!

Keep The Spa Running

Finally, feel free to **let the spa run on its own** while you do other tasks! Animal Spa is designed as an idle game, so you don’t need to constantly monitor it. You can keep it operating in the background while checking in occasionally.

This strategy is also excellent for generating income. If you’re saving for an upgrade or new feature, leaving the spa active for a while can yield great returns if you check back periodically.
