Completing and Solving Horadric Strongrooms in Diablo IV Dungeons

Horadric powers have been added to Diablo 4 in the latest season. Players can explore unique Horadric strongrooms to boost their abilities with these new powers. It’s similar to previous seasonal features, so seasoned D4 players should find it familiar.

Before diving into these powers, you’ll first need to locate them. Find a Horadric strongroom, take down as many enemies as you can, and defeat the boss to acquire new abilities, upgrades, and more. Here’s how to find these strongrooms and what to expect when you clear them out.

Where to Find Horadric Strongrooms

Horadric strongrooms reliably appear in Nightmare Dungeons during the Season of the Horadric. To access them, create a seasonal character, as these features are not available in the main game. After creating a seasonal character, talk to Bryona in Cerrigar. They’ll provide you with Nightmare Sigils to get started and explain the seasonal features.

When you enter a Nightmare Dungeon, your character will sometimes generate an energy wisp that will guide you. Follow this wisp to find the Horadric gateway. Interact with it, defeat the spawned enemies, and it will open a portal leading to a Horadric Strongroom.

Tips for Clearing a Horadric Strongroom

Once you’re inside the strongroom, you’ll need to revive a dormant Horadric pillar. Defeating all enemies will activate a set of modifiers for you to engage with. Make sure to activate one or two modifiers before continuing—the specific number depends on the difficulty level you’re facing. Most of these adjustments will affect enemy density and how much Horodric Attunement—your score—you get from kills. The more attunement you gather, the better your loot will be from the final boss.

If you remember the Kurast Undercity activity from the Vessel of Hatred, this works similarly but on a single floor. You’ll have 100 seconds to defeat as many enemies as possible—filling your Horodric meter contributes to your progress. At the end of the timer, the final boss will spawn next to you. Defeating them will earn you various rewards. If you manage to max out your Horodric Attunement beforehand, the boss will appear early.

Upon defeating the boss, you’ll receive a bounty of items, Horodric Phials, Horodric Knowledge, and an opportunity to unlock new Horadric Spellcraft modifiers. In addition to the usual weapons and armor, one of the main objectives for farming this content is to enrich your seasonal Horodric mechanics, particularly the new spellcrafting system. Keep farming this activity while leveling up to complete your spell collection and maximize your reputation with the seasonal vendor.
