“Revelation” is one of the most intriguing puzzles in “The Lumurian Phoenix,” the second DLC for The Rise of the Golden Idol. Here, you won’t find typical crimes or betrayal but rather a complex riddle that transforms you into a sort of codebreaker.
Your mission is to interpret the pictograms created by the dedicants and uncover the meanings hidden within the gospel, commandments inscribed on a monument, and the messages from a certain individual regarding what the waterfall has declared.
How to Decode the Language
To begin deciphering this language, you’ll need to grasp four key rules:
- Nouns: The first and last symbols in a sentence represent a noun, whether it’s common or proper.
- Verbs: These symbols appear between nouns and indicate a specific type of action. A dot above a verb changes it to its opposite. For instance, the ‘burn’ symbol with a dot means ‘extinguish.’
- Positivity or Negativity: A line above the verb symbol indicates negativity, meaning the action is not happening.
- Tense and Strength: Each sentence features a line with an arrow beneath it. Different arrow shapes signify different tenses; understanding this alongside the previous point is essential.
Once you have these basic concepts down, you can start identifying noun and verb symbols to solve the puzzles.
- The waterfall scene contains the information needed to understand the Symbols page. Consider the family tree depicted on the door—who might it refer to, and what does the symbol on the damaged building signify?
- The children’s book found in the cave is crucial for grasping various rules, including the symbols for Waterfall, Kill, and Reward.
- The man reading near the monument offers valuable clues regarding the monument’s inscriptions.
- Deciphering the gospel is a bit more challenging but still feasible. The element of fire plays a significant role here. What can you deduce from the symbols present?
- The waterfall panel poses the toughest challenge and serves as a final exam of your skills. The new symbols resemble family trees—these should help you make sense of the available words.
