Since its launch, Wuthering Waves has shown considerable affection for Rover, both in gameplay and storyline. In the Version 2.2 update, they not only enhanced the Spectro Rover’s abilities but also introduced a new attribute for players to utilize—called Aero.
If you’re a newcomer to the game, unlocking this attribute will take some time. However, once you do manage to unlock it, you’ll also receive a complimentary five-star weapon to complement your Rover’s build.
Unlocking Aero Rover and Bloodpact’s Pledge
To unlock Aero Rover and the associated sword, Bloodpact’s Pledge, you must advance through the main storyline until you get to the Rinascita region. This means completing the Jinzhou storyline first and ideally finishing the segment where Rover visits the Black Shores.
Once you start the Rinascita main storyline, expect to spend several hours working through the initial four acts. You can access Aero Rover during the boss fight against Fleurdelys after a brief cutscene at the end of the fourth act.
You will receive the Bloodpact’s Pledge five-star sword for free after defeating this boss.
Switching to Aero Rover
After unlocking the Aero attribute, you can switch to it by accessing the character screen. To do this, either press ‘C’ on your keyboard or click the second button on the top right of your screen. Once in Rover’s character menu, you will see your name at the top left.
Below your name, the current attribute displayed for your Rover will be visible. Next to this attribute, look for the switch button that leads to a menu. Here, you can select the Aero attribute, enabling your Rover to use its Aero abilities.
