After the launch of Schedule 1, you find yourself in Hyland Point with very little cash and no means to kickstart your drug operation. Fortunately, NPC Uncle Nelson offers some assistance by sharing the locations of several cash stashes hidden throughout the city. By investigating specific areas, you’ll familiarize yourself with your new environment and score some quick bucks.
Uncovering Uncle Nelson’s hidden cash is one of your initial tasks before you can begin producing and selling illegal substances. There are three distinct stashes belonging to Uncle Nelson in Hyland Point, but he does not disclose their exact locations. By exploring key spots on the map in Schedule 1, you’ll come across notable landmarks that you can check to uncover where Uncle Nelson has concealed his money.
Where To Find The Canal Stash
Check Under An Overpass Near Another Location
It doesn’t matter which order you search for the stashes; you just need to locate all three to complete the "Welcome to Hyland Point" mission. Thankfully, the Uncle Nelson stashes are all relatively close to one another, allowing you to utilize the same landmarks in Hyland Point to find them. Start by heading down the main road to the heart of town, where you’ll encountered numerous recognizable buildings and landmarks.
Use the major road to enter the city, and then navigate to the intersection near the Supermarket and The Butter Box buildings for a better orientation. From this starting point, you can target potential customers in Schedule 1, alongside various locations that you’ll likely visit later.
Tip: If you ever feel lost or unsure of where to search for a stash, press the "M" key to pull up your map. This not only gives you direction but also shows the locations of any other stash spots you need to find, along with your quest objectives.
Follow these steps to find the stash at the Canal:
- Head to the "Gas Mart" near Hyland Auto.
- Face away from Hyland Point towards the Bridge that leads into town.
- Jump into the Canal to the left of the path with several pine trees beside the Gas Mart.
- Look back toward the town to spot a sewer grate.
- To the left of the grate, you’ll see a white "X" marking where a small dropbox is located.
- Examine the dropbox to retrieve Uncle Nelson’s stash hidden in the Dead Drop.
This Dead Drop stash yields approximately $80 cash, giving you a slight boost to invest in the early stages of your empire. Don’t linger at the Canal too long; check your map for the remaining stash locations before continuing your search.
Where To Find The Fountain Stash
Look For Some Graffiti Near An Important Building
Another stash is believed to be near a Fountain, which, thankfully, is in close proximity to the Canal area you just explored. From the Canal, return to the streets for a fresh navigation. Instead of heading deeper into the city towards the Police Station, seek out a significant building that relates to the local politics.
One vital location linked to many dealers you will recruit in Schedule 1 later is the Town Hall, a large building directly across from the Police Station. Once you spot the Town Hall near the Canal stash, use the following steps to locate the next Uncle Nelson Dead Drop:
- Proceed to the front of the Town Hall.
- Look for the water Fountain in its courtyard.
- Search around the Fountain until you find the Dead Drop.
- Examine the Dead Drop to collect the stash.
This stash is the most straightforward to find, as the Town Hall is hard to miss when exploring Hyland Point. Look for vivid purple graffiti spray-painted on one end of the Fountain to guide you if you’re having trouble locating it around this government building.
Retrieving this stash rewards you with $120, providing you with sufficient funds to start purchasing supplies. Ingredients for your next drug strains can be costly, particularly if you’re aiming to create top-tier mixes through recipe experimentation.
Where To Find The Supermarket Stash
Investigate Where Money Gets Spent
The final Uncle Nelson stash is not far from where your investigations began—it’s situated near the Supermarket. As Uncle Nelson hinted, the stash is behind the Supermarket, giving you a clear direction for your search.
To retrace your steps from the Fountain stash near Town Hall, you can follow this simple plan:
- From the Fountain Dead Drop, head down the street past the Police Station.
- Locate the intersection where The Supermarket and The Butter Box buildings meet.
- Continue past The Supermarket towards The Casino building down the road.
- Turn left to find the back of The Supermarket, where several pallets are visible.
- Investigate the Dead Drop on the wall to discover the stash.
Be mindful that this stash can easily be overlooked if you walk past The Supermarket without paying attention. A helpful tip is to remember to cross the street from The Crimson Canary, another building adjacent to The Supermarket. The back alley of The Supermarket is directly opposite this building, making the stash clearly visible from that angle.
Once you successfully locate all of Uncle Nelson’s stashes, you can use the money to level up in Schedule 1. By initiating the creation of your first product, you’ll begin earning experience points (XP) to rank up and unlock additional items and locations.
This final stash contains $175, the highest amount from any of Uncle Nelson’s Dead Drops. With a total of $375 across all three stashes, you’ll have a solid foundation for your empire or, at the very least, enough to start gambling at the nearby Casino. After collecting all Uncle Nelson stash locations in Schedule 1, be sure to use some of that money to purchase essential supplies that will help you launch your drug enterprise.
