If you’re aiming to get Escoffier in Genshin Impact and want to enhance her quickly, it’s wise to start collecting her materials ahead of time. This way, you can fully ascend her to level 80 and upgrade her talents, whether you pull her in the initial banner of Version 5.6 or any future reruns. Escoffier is one of the two new playable characters introduced in Version 5.6. According to leaks confirmed by developer HoYoverse, Escoffier is a 5-star Cryo character with a polearm as her weapon.

From the leaked details, it appears Escoffier functions as a Cryo sub-DPS. Her Elemental Skill allows her to summon a Cooking Mek that follows your active character. This Mek periodically fires shots dealing Cryo damage to enemies, enabling your team to trigger Elemental Reactions. Additionally, her Elemental Burst provides Area of Effect (AoE) Cryo damage and heals allies based on her ATK stat, though her primary role is to deal damage while off the battlefield. Notably, Escoffier’s Skill has two variants, with one not meant for combat.

Although HoYoverse hasn’t publicly listed the items required for her upgrades, leaks have disclosed all the materials needed, allowing for pre-farming ahead of her release. Since the materials needed for Escoffier are based on leaks, there’s some inherent risk in pre-farming. While the beta tests for Version 5.6 are ongoing and HoYoverse hasn’t confirmed the materials yet, they are quite likely to change. This means you might gather certain items only to find out later that new materials are required, making your efforts unnecessary. Despite the associated risks, beginning the farming process is still a worthwhile strategy.

Only One Item Isn’t Available Before Escoffier’s Release

Your first step should be to farm Escoffier’s Ascension materials since completing her ascension unlocks the capacity to upgrade her talents. As a Cryo character, Escoffier will need Shivada Jade stones. The safest materials to pre-farm are the Shivada Jade stones as they’re unlikely to change with her character. You can primarily obtain Shivada Jade by defeating Cryo-related bosses like Cryo Hypostasis, Maguu Kenki, Lupus Boreas, and La Signora. Don’t forget to use the Alchemy Table in Genshin Impact to craft lower-tier Shivada Jade into higher-grade versions.

Unfortunately, you can’t optimize your farming for Shivada Jade drops alongside any boss materials. This is because the only world boss material required for Escoffier’s ascension is the Secret Source Airflow Accumulator, which is anticipated to be introduced in the upcoming Version 5.6. Therefore, you won’t be able to pre-farm it until Escoffier’s launch. Furthermore, according to Honey Hunter World, this boss won’t drop Shivada Jade stones.

When it comes to enemy drops, Escoffier requires Meshing Gear, Mechanical Spur Gear, and Artificed Dynamic Gear, which can be acquired from Clockwork Meka enemies found throughout Fontaine. Since these materials are also needed to upgrade Escoffier’s talents, aim to gather them in large quantities.

The last material to gather for Escoffier’s ascension is the Beryl Conch, a local specialty only found in Fontaine. She will need 168 of these, but since there are only 108 nodes on the map, you will need to collect them over at least two days. Local specialties respawn every 48 hours, so plan your farming accordingly. As with the Clockwork Meka, you can mark Beryl Conch locations on the Interactive Map in Genshin Impact.

To reach all of Escoffier’s ascension thresholds, you will need 420,000 Mora in addition to approximately 1,637,400 Mora for leveling her up to level 90 with character experience materials. If you’re short on Mora, challenge the Blossom of Wealth activities to earn more. I suggest doing this in Fontaine, as you can encounter Clockwork Meka for additional gear materials. Talent books can be quite tough to gather, so starting the process early is advisable.

Escoffier’s weekly boss material is the Eroded Horn, which can only be obtained from the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire in Genshin Impact. You will need 18 Eroded Horns, but considering the constraints of weekly boss fights and the randomness of drops, obtaining all the necessary horns may take months. When possible, convert the other materials dropped by this boss into Eroded Horns using Dream Solvent at an Alchemy Table.

To fully upgrade each of Escoffier’s talents, you’ll need three copies of Crown of Insight, as she has three talents to enhance. Crown of Insight is a rare item that can be acquired as a reward from specific limited-time events or reputation systems. You can also obtain it from the battle pass and a limited number from Paimon’s Bargains. Lastly, enhancing Escoffier’s materials requires a total of 4,957,500 Mora, which can be quite a hefty investment in Genshin Impact.
