Throughout the Palpagos Islands, you’ll come across new Pals ready to assist you in various tasks—from battling formidable foes to protecting and managing your base. These Pals have basic requirements, similar to yours, and they’ll need food, although the frequency of their hunger can vary. Depending on the area, you might not always find a reliable source of berries nearby.

As your Pals grow stronger and larger, their appetite increases. It’s essential to establish consistent farms to support both you and your Pals; otherwise, their health could deteriorate. Below is a guide on where to locate every type of seed in Palworld.

Note: Palworld is currently in Early Access, and details may change. We will update our guides as necessary.

Updated January 16, 2025, by Zoë J. Osik: With the Feybreak update, we’ve added new crops to our guide. You can now collect carrots, potatoes, and onions from farms to create even more delicious recipes for your Pals!

Where to Find Seeds

Growing crops is a crucial element of Palworld, especially when you’re setting up bases in areas where food is scarce. Available right now, there are four types of seeds you can discover:

Each seed yields a unique crop, and you’ll only need a few to kickstart your own farm. However, some seeds can be more elusive than others. Here’s a breakdown of where to find each type of seed:

Seed Name How to Obtain Seeds

What to Do with Seeds

With seeds, you can create various types of plantations. These plantations enable your Pals to plant, irrigate, and harvest crops to keep their hunger in check and their energy levels high.

You can store food in a Pal Feed Box for convenient access. Every time food is added, the expiration timer resets.

Establishing plantations requires you to use Technology Points to unlock the crafting capabilities. Here’s what you need to create different plantations in Palworld:

Plantation Name Level Unlocked Materials Needed
Berry Plantation 5
  • Berry Seeds (3)
  • Wood (20)
  • Stone (20)
Wheat Plantation 15
  • Wheat Seeds (3)
  • Wood (35)
  • Stone (35)
Potato Plantation 29
  • Potato Seeds (3)
  • Wood (70)
  • Stone (50)
  • Pal Fluids (5)
Tomato Plantation 21
  • Tomato Seeds (3)
  • Wood (70)
  • Stone (50)
  • Pal Fluids (5)
Carrot Plantation 32

  • Stone (50)
  • Pal Fluids (5)
Onion Plantation 36
  • Onion Seeds (3)
  • Wood (70)
  • Stone (50)
  • Pal Fluids (5)
Lettuce Plantation 38
  • Lettuce Seeds (3)
  • Wood (100)
  • Stone (75)
  • Pal Fluids (10)

You will need Pals to assist with planting and watering the crops. Bring in some Water Pals and Grass Pals to your base, as they typically possess work skills that help tend to the crops, ensuring a constant food supply.

What to Do with Crops

Once you harvest crops, you can store them in the Feed Box for your Pals to access when they need food. Additionally, you can keep them in a Cooler Box to prolong their freshness.

The best use of harvested crops is to prepare meals, which will restore hunger and keep you satisfied for some time. You can cook these meals at a campfire or a cooking pot.

Cooking in bulk allows you to spend more time gathering resources without worrying about hunger. Your Pals will certainly appreciate a bit more variety beyond just cooked berries!
