Alpha Pokémon are a special type found in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. They add an extra challenge for players. These Pokémon are easy to spot because they are larger than normal and have glowing red eyes. Most of them are located in Wild Zones around Lumiose City, though some appear on rooftops.
While Alpha Pokémon are not significantly stronger in stats compared to regular Pokémon of the same species, they usually start at a higher level and always have at least one unique move that their standard counterparts can’t learn. This makes them strong additions to your team.
Please note that the list of Alpha Pokémon is still growing. We’ll keep updating it as we find more of these rare Pokémon in the game. In the meantime, check out our Pokémon Legends: Z-A guide hub for more details.

You can find this Pokémon during the day in Wild Zone 4, near the northwest side of the cemetery.
#### Alpha Flabébé (Level 22)
This one is on top of a building southwest of Wild Zone 8. To reach it, climb a ladder on nearby buildings and walk a narrow plank.
#### Alpha Litleo (Level 24)
Inside Wild Zone 3, near a small stone structure, this Pokémon is usually sleeping. Approach carefully from the east while crouching to catch it easily. It comes with Thunder Fang.
#### Alpha Bellsprout (Level 24)
Spawning along the main road in Wild Zone 5, this Bellsprout has Knock Off as its extra move.
#### Alpha Whirlipede (Level 24)
Found on the eastern side of Wild Zone 5, getting to it requires some effort: head to the western part, use a Water-type move to clear poison mounds, then go through a tunnel.
#### Alpha Venipede (Level 27)
This Pokémon spawns in the same eastern area of Wild Zone 5 as the Whirlipede and sits on a grassy raised patch above the water. It gains Spikes as an extra move.
#### Alpha Staryu (Level 31)
Available only at night in Wild Zone 2, on the southeast island. You’ll need to go around the zone, crossing shallow water in the northeast. It has Ice Beam.

#### Alpha Krokorok (Level 38)
Near the northwest corner of Wild Zone 8, this tougher Pokémon may be in a slightly different spot since the zone is open. It has Aerial Ace as an extra move. It can be tricky to catch because it is guarded by Ground-type Pokémon—using Water, Grass, or Ice attacks helps.
