Borderlands 4 is an exciting game packed with fast-paced combat and a large open world to explore. In the game, you’ll find hundreds of collectibles across the planet Kairos. These collectibles include various items such as hidden Vault Symbols, Evocariums, and Survivalist Caches.
Survivalist Caches are among the first valuable weapons you can find in Borderlands 4. It’s a good idea to hunt them down early, especially in the starting area called The Fadefields. Opening each Cache contributes to the Cache to Spend challenge found in your Challenges menu, giving you rewards like rare weapons and gear.
You can locate these caches on your map once you’ve explored and surveyed the area around them. Many are hidden on the outskirts of The Fadefields and might require some exploration or completing side quests to find. Interacting with a Cache is similar to opening a chest or loot box. Inside, you’ll discover rare weapons and useful equipment to help you advance. Each Cache also grants SDU upgrades, which improve your inventory and resource capacity.
There are a total of 10 Survivalist Caches in The Fadefields. When you come near one, it will appear on your map, which can be filtered to make locating them easier. Some are easy to spot, but others are hidden behind obstacles like doors or underground passages. For example, to access Cache #6, you need to clear an underground cave of enemies to unlock a door leading to the cache and other chests. Similarly, Cache #10 involves entering a sewer pipe nearby and traveling underground.
Finding all ten caches will unlock the Cache to Spend challenge, rewarding you with experience points, money, Eridium, and a special pistol skin called Never Say DIY. Exploring these caches adds to your adventure by offering valuable loot and achievements in Borderlands 4.
