Battlefield 6 features four unique classes, each with its own specific roles and gameplay styles. While some classes have seen changes from earlier versions, the emphasis on class-specific duties remains strong. Successful teams usually include players from multiple classes.
The Assault class is all about attacking the enemy. A skilled Assault player aims to make life difficult for opponents and take charge of infantry and objectives, especially with good support from teammates.
Assault Weapon Proficiency
Assault players benefit from faster drawing of their primary weapons and quicker firing after sprinting. This setup encourages a fast-paced, run-and-gun approach. If you encounter an enemy, being able to fire first gives you a big advantage.
One drawback is that Assault players carry less ammunition compared to other classes. They often need support from teammates who can provide extra ammo and resources to keep them in the fight.
Every Assault Gadget
Assault players can equip a secondary primary weapon alongside specialized gadgets. These include options like shotguns, remote-deploy ladders, and grenade launchers that cause structural damage or deliver thermobaric effects. Additional gadgets include deploy beacons to call in reinforcements, incendiary shotguns to ignite targets, and explosive launchers capable of penetrating destructible surfaces.
Assault Throwables
The class provides three throwables designed for aggressive playstyles:
- Frag Grenades: Standard explosive damage with impact-triggered timers.
- Stun Grenades: Temporarily disable enemy movement and aiming.
- Flash Grenades: Blind enemies nearby for a short duration, especially effective at close range.
Assault Training Paths
The class offers two distinct training paths, each with unique benefits.
- Breacher Path: Focuses on speed and chaos, giving faster reload times and movement speeds, along with increased grenade capacity. It’s ideal for players who want to push quickly into fights and take risks.
- Frontliner Path: Suitable for more cautious or flanking players, this path boosts health regeneration and fall damage reduction. When deploying on you or your beacon, squad members gain a brief adrenaline boost, making it great for supporting and protecting teammates.
Assault Signature Trait
The trait of the Assault class emphasizes objective-focused gameplay. Being close to the action helps complete objectives faster and improves the ability to capture and secure sites. Players who prefer staying near enemies and objectives will find this trait particularly useful, aiding in quicker and more efficient accomplishments during matches.
