Season 1 of Battlefield 6 is now live, bringing new features like the RedSec battle royale mode and the game’s first battle pass. To access the full experience, players can purchase the premium tier for 1,100 Battlefield Currency (BFC), which is about $9.99, but there are also over 30 free rewards available. The battle pass is divided into tiers, which are unlocked with Battle Pass Points earned through gameplay XP and weekly challenges. There are 110 tiers spread across seven different paths, and completing all of them grants enough BFC to buy the next season’s battle pass.
The battle pass can be accessed from a dedicated tab in the main menu, positioned between loadouts and challenges. To begin, you must complete the Recruit path, a short tutorial that offers five unique rewards. Once finished, four additional paths become available, which can be completed in any order: Rogue Ops, Deniable Ops, Soldiers of Fortune, and Pacific Ghosts. Only one path can be active at a time, with all XP counting towards that specific track. You can select your active path from the main menu by clicking the “active path” button. Each path has 22 tiers, and completing all 88 tiers grants access to the Ultimate path, which provides bonus rewards and the ability to unlock tiers on the Prestige path.
The rewards include a mix of free and premium items such as player icons, weapon packs, skins, currency, and boosters. For example, the Recruit tier offers a free Player Card Icon, a premium Weapon Package called Canis Lupus, and 100 Battlefield Coins. The Rogue Operators path features rewards like a weapon charm called Scratched Out (premium), a weapon package named Unidentifiable, and free currency. Similarly, the Deniable Ops, Soldiers of Fortune, and Pacific Ghosts paths provide their own set of exclusive rewards, including skins, decals, charms, stickers, and XP boosters. All these tiers and rewards are designed to give players a variety of items to unlock as they progress.
Beyond the battle pass, there are also seasonal challenges that can earn additional rewards. These challenges are available in standard Season 1 tracks as well as a premium BF Pro track, which costs $24.99. Complete specific tasks like dealing damage, getting headshots, or winning matches to unlock rewards such as attachments, weapon packs, backgrounds, and icons. For example, completing 3,000 damage beyond 75 meters and 35 headshot kills will reward the SU-230 LPVO Attachment, while finishing 40 matches in any mode unlocks the Spark Of Conflict Player Card Background in the BF Pro track.
Other challenges include objectives like suppressing enemies with LMGs, dealing a certain amount of damage, or performing headshots. Rewards vary from free boosters, decals, backgrounds, skins, and currency to premium weapon and vehicle packages. These challenges provide additional ways to earn exclusive items and upgrade your loadout throughout the season.
