You can start gathering Columbina’s materials in Genshin Impact now to prepare for her release. Having most of her Ascension and Talent materials ready will make her upgrade process smoother once she arrives. Officially, HoYoverse has confirmed her as a Hydro character from Nod-Krai, and she is considered an important figure in the region’s lore. She will be one of the three playable characters introduced in version 6.3.
Although the developer hasn’t shared all details yet, beta testing has given us some clues. Leaked information suggests Columbina will be a five-star Hydro catalyst support with some sub-DPS abilities. Her main focus will be boosting Lunar-based reactions like Lunar-Bloom, Lunar-Charged, and the upcoming Lunar Crystallize.
All Materials for Columbina Have Been Leaked
You can pre-farm most of her items now, except for a couple of new materials introduced in version 6.3. The majority of her materials include the Moonlight Talent books, which are already available from the Lauma shop in the game.
However, two new materials are coming in the next update, so you won’t be able to farm them early. If Columbina appears on Phase 1 banners, you’ll have to wait until the update to gather everything.
Ascension Materials for Columbina
Most of her Ascension materials can be pre-farmed. To ascend her, you’ll need to farm Varunada Lazurite stones, which are Hydro-specific and drop from bosses such as Hydro Hypostasis, Oceanid, Frostnight Herra, Childe, and the All-Devouring Narwhal. Farming her from Frostnight Herra is particularly recommended because this boss also drops another material needed for her Ascension.
Here’s a quick overview of her Ascension materials by level:
| Level | Materials Needed | Rewards |
|---|---|---|
| 20 | Varunada Lazurite Sliver, Slime Condensate, Winter Icelea, Mora | – |
| 40 | Varunada Lazurite Fragment, Slime Condensate, Winter Icelea, Radiant Antler, Mora | – |
| 50 | Varunada Lazurite Fragment, Slime Secretions, Winter Icelea, Radiant Antler, Mora | – |
| 60 | Varunada Lazurite Chunk, Slime Secretions, Winter Icelea, Radiant Antler, Mora | – |
| 70 | Varunada Lazurite Chunk, Slime Concentrate, Winter Icelea, Radiant Antler, Mora | – |
| 80 | Varunada Lazurite Gemstone, Slime Concentrate, Winter Icelea, Radiant Antler, Mora | – |
One special material, Radiant Antler, drops from Frostnight Herra. You’ll need 46 of those, which means fighting this boss multiple times.
Also, you need a new Local Specialty called Winter Icelea, which is only available in the updated Nod-Krai area when the patch arrives. You cannot farm it beforehand.
The slime materials—Condensate, Secretions, and Concentrate—are common drops from slime monsters around Teyvat. Because these are used for both Ascension and Talent leveling, it’s best to farm a lot in advance.
To fully upgrade her, you’ll also need Mora. Be prepared to spend around 420,000 Mora for Ascension and an additional 1,637,400 Mora for Talent leveling.
Talent Materials for Columbina
You’ll need Slime Condensate, Secretions, and Concentrate in larger quantities for her Talent upgrades than for her Ascension. You can buy some slime materials monthly from Paimon’s Bargains, which helps.
Her Talent materials include:
- Teachings of Moonlight
- Guide to Moonlight
- Philosophies of Moonlight
- Slime Condensate
- Slime Secretions
- Slime Concentrate
- A new Weekly Boss Material (not yet named)
- Crown of Insight
- Mora
You can farm the Moonlight Talent books from the Lightless Capital domain on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Gathering all the books takes several weeks.
The new weekly boss, Dottore, will drop an additional material needed for her Talents. This becomes available only with the update and cannot be pre-farmed.
Three Crowns of Insight are required to fully level her Talents to 10. They can be obtained from limited-time events or bought monthly from Paimon’s Bargains.
Since Talent leveling is costly, expect to spend close to 5 million Mora to max out her three Talents. Starting to collect materials early will ease your workload once she arrives.
Gathering these materials now will help you prepare for Columbina’s release, making her upgrade process quicker and less stressful when she is finally available in Genshin Impact.
