Stardew Valley trinkets are unique collectibles that came with the game’s 1.6 update. Finding all of them becomes a challenging side adventure, but it’s well worth the effort. These trinkets can be equipped to give special benefits, mainly boosting your combat skills and helping you survive in the mines and beyond. If you’ve heard about these exciting perks, you’ll want to follow this guide to collect every one of them.
From in-game upgrades to actual pets—like a hungry frog, a fairy, and a parrot—it’s tempting to explore the depths of the mines to discover these hidden treasures. Each trinket is an wearable item that grants its own special bonus, making it definitely worth the hunt. However, it’s not as straightforward as opening mystery boxes. So, here’s how to find all the trinkets in Stardew Valley.
How to Find Trinkets in Stardew Valley
Before you start hunting for trinkets, you need to reach combat level 10. To do that, you must master fighting by defeating monsters in areas like the Mines, Skull Cavern, Volcano, and Desert Cave. Keep battling enemies until you hit level 10, and you’ll be ready to go.
Once you’ve achieved combat mastery, monsters that you were fighting to level up will start dropping trinkets randomly. You can also find them inside crates, barrels, and chests scattered around those combat zones. Sometimes, you can buy trinkets from special vendors too.
After reaching combat level 10, you can reforge most trinkets (except the Basilisk Paw and Magic Hair Gel) at an anvil. This process costs three iridium bars per trinket and will randomize their stats, making each one unique. Now, let’s look at all the trinkets available and what they do.
All Stardew Valley Trinkets and Their Effects
Here are the trinkets and the bonuses they provide:
- Basilisk Paw: Grants immunity to negative effects.
- Fairy Box: Summons a fairy that heals you during fights.
- Frog Egg: Calls a hungry frog to your side.
- Golden Spur: Boosts your speed after landing a critical hit for a short period.
- Ice Rod: Shoots an ice orb every few seconds, freezing enemies in its path for a brief time.
- Magic Hair Gel: Makes your hair shimmer with rainbow colors, inspired by a prism shard.
- Magic Quiver: Fires a magical arrow at nearby enemies every few seconds, dealing damage.
- Parrot Egg: Summons a parrot that can increase your chance of finding gold coins when defeating monsters.
Each of these trinkets can be obtained multiple times and sold for around 1,000 gold. The Magic Hair Gel, however, is only available for purchase at Alex’s shop during the Desert Festival, between the 15th and 17th in spring.
