One essential element of Schedule 1, besides generating revenue, is decluttering your space. This becomes increasingly vital as you advance in the game and enhance your territory. A flourishing empire requires ample space to thrive.

This is particularly relevant once you begin automating your farm in Schedule 1 and recruiting workers. While the game might not explicitly guide you, clearing away unwanted items and debris is a simple process. With just a click, you can eliminate anything you don’t need.

How to Drop Items

You Can Drop Items for Several Reasons

To pick something up from the ground, simply press “E.” If you accidentally picked up an item or want to relocate it, go to the area where you want to drop it and click the same button to let it go. You can use the white dot indicator to see where you’ll drop the item, though it might be slightly off.

Automation is key to running a successful operation in Schedule 1. A great way to automate is by hiring a Botanist. Here’s how you can do it.

Sometimes, when you try to move an item you’ve picked up, it might drop automatically if there’s something obstructing your path. If you can’t locate the item you dropped, retrace your steps and check for any objects that could have interfered. Additionally, remember that items in your hotbar cannot be dropped. If you no longer want them in your inventory, you’ll need to store them on a shelf.

To pick up storage items like shelves that aren’t considered trash, ensure they are empty and that you have space in your hot bar. Approach the item closely, then hold the right mouse button until you successfully pick it up. You’ll see a circular indicator showing that you’re in the process of picking it up. Once the item is in your inventory, you can scroll over and decide where to place it.

How to Delete or Remove Items

Getting Rid of Unwanted Objects

To dispose of an item, like trash, press “E” on your keyboard or the corresponding button for your controls. Then walk over to the trash can, hold the item directly over the opening, and release it using the same key you used to pick it up. If the trash can is full, the item will simply rest on top of it. There are no penalties for not keeping your area tidy.

You can purchase trash bags at shops to empty the trash can once it’s full and dispose of the bag in one of the dumpsters around the game. However, unless you have an abundance of resources and already run a laundering enterprise in Schedule 1, be cautious about what you throw away.

Once you throw something away, it’s permanently gone.

For furniture or equipment you wish to eliminate, place the item in a storage container. Interact with the storage unit and choose the item you want to delete. You will notice a red square labeled “discard” to the right of your hotbar. Drag and drop any items you want to remove into this red square.

If you accidentally delete something important, you can always repurchase it at one of the shops on the map, such as Dan’s Hardware. So if you find yourself short on seeds because you deleted your stash in Schedule 1, reach out to your supplier to order another batch.
