When it comes to games rich in storytelling and background, Dune: Awakening stands out. The Dune universe, with its rich collection of novels, films, and a passionate fan base, has sparked imaginations for years. Many fans already envision themselves within its vast landscapes.

However, Dune: Awakening does an excellent job introducing newcomers to its world and lore. It lays the foundation without moving too slowly. If you’re intrigued by the game mechanics, here’s a quick guide.

Choosing Your Homeworld

There are five different Homeworld options in Dune: Awakening, each affecting your character’s Dialogue Traits and Unique Emotes.

  • Dialogue Traits grant you occasional unique dialogue options when interacting with NPCs, adding a special touch to role-playing.
  • Unique Emotes are specific gestures that only players from the same Homeworld can perform.

Giedi Prime

Giedi Prime, ruled by the Harkonnens—the villains in the initial two Dune films—is an excellent choice for those looking to connect with this notorious house.

What Caste Should You Choose?
