Activating The Sims 2 Legacy Collection Cheats
To enable cheats in The Sims 2 Legacy Collection, simply press Ctrl + Shift + C on your keyboard. This is consistent with the method used in previous Sims games on PC. This action will display a cheat console text box in the upper left corner of your screen. To enter a cheat, just type it in, then hit Enter. If successful, you’ll see the changes in-game; otherwise, an “Error in cheat” message will appear if the cheat is incorrect or non-functional.
To expand the cheat console, type “expand” and press Enter; to close it, type “exit” and press Enter.

Cheat Tips for The Sims 2 Legacy Collection
- In certain instances, if you start typing a cheat, you can press Tab for the console to complete the rest of the code. Just remember to add “true/false” or “on/off” where necessary.
- Utilize the Move_objects on cheat to remove bills, trash, or other obstacles. You can also use it to remove Sims, but unlike in The Sims 1, this won’t affect their mood, so you may need to leave the lot and return for them to reappear.
- Keep in mind that using cheats can lead to various in-game glitches, especially with lot interactions, so exercise caution.
