The Cerebro Database II is the newest showdown in Marvel Rivals, kicking off the exciting Season 2.5. This event introduces an exclusive skin that players can snag for free. It serves as a continuation of the earlier Cerebro Database event, which marked the introduction of Emma Frost at the start of Season 2. This time, the spotlight is on Ultron, offering players another rewarding experience as they fulfill specific objectives.

Players familiar with the first Cerebro Database event will find a similar structure in the sequel. During the initial event, participants could earn a free skin for Mantis by analyzing four data segments. The Cerebro Database has distinct pages dedicated to different character profiles that players must navigate to collect rewards.

What Is the Cerebro Database II Event?

Earn a Free Skin by Analyzing Select Heroes

The Cerebro Database II event involves analyzing the character profiles of four different heroes by completing various missions. Some of these missions require using the abilities of featured characters, while others encompass wider objectives. By finishing enough tasks on every page, players earn a free skin for a character that they can utilize anytime.

With Ultron, Marvel Rivals Is Committing to Breaking Rules

The introduction of Ultron in Season 2.5 sees Marvel Rivals embracing its trend of creating hybrid heroes.

During the first Cerebro Database event, players utilized the potent psychic device to study mutant characters from the island of Krakoa, including Emma Frost. Now, thanks to the storyline in Marvel Rivals, Ultron has fused with Cerebro, becoming the formidable X-Tron. Armed with this new power, Ultron creates a new Cerebro Database to assess potential threats to his plans.

Season 2.5 introduces Ultron alongside a new map called Arakko. Some objectives related to the Cerebro Database II event may involve exploring these new elements.

Ultron’s Cerebro Database II focuses on four characters, including himself:

  • Iron Man
  • Black Widow
  • Magneto
  • Ultron

As Ultron takes time to analyze each character, not every page will be available when the event starts. Pages in the Cerebro Database II will unlock progressively throughout the event, allowing players to complete one page before the next opens. The event is expected to last around 7 to 12 days, giving ample time to earn rewards.

How to Complete the Cerebro Database II Event

Finish Event Missions in Specific Patterns

complete enough missions to form three lines, whether horizontally, vertically, or diagonally from the grid.

To access the Cerebro Database II, navigate to the “Event” tab under “Play” in the main menu. You can also check individual missions from the event in the “Missions” tab on the same screen.

For instance, finishing Missions 1, 2, and 3 would create a horizontal line at the top section of a character’s page, completing one part of the Cerebro Database for that hero. You do not have to complete all mission events on a Database page to clear it. Instead, you’ll want to take advantage of various updates in Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 to achieve the necessary challenges that form patterns.

Marvel Rivals: Most Banned Heroes In Season 2 (& How to Counter Them)

Season 2 of Marvel Rivals allows competitive teams to ban characters, making it necessary to find counter strategies for top-tier heroes.

Some challenges are easy to accomplish, like merely checking the objectives on the Cerebro Database page. Others are a bit more complex, including:

  • Defeating a specified number of enemies in Quick Play, Competitive, or Vs. AI matches.
  • Completing a certain number of matches.
  • Dealing damage while playing as a character from the Cerebro Database II page.
  • Reading lore about a character in the Cerebro Database II.
  • Taking damage while playing as a character in the Cerebro Database II.
  • Winning one match on the new Arakko Season 2.5 map.
  • Using a character’s ability from the Cerebro Database II page several times.

Most of these tasks should be achievable in just a few matches, providing various ways to create patterns on a character’s Cerebro Database II page. Hero pages in the Cerebro Database II will unlock gradually throughout the event, allowing you to explore them all as they go live.

Rewards from the Cerebro Database II Event

Earn a New Skin for a Recently Improved Duelist

The main prize from the Cerebro Database II event is the Binary Arrow skin for Hawkeye, a Duelist character in the game. Following the balance changes in Season 2.5, Hawkeye has become significantly stronger in Marvel Rivals, making it fitting for him to receive a new look.

The Binary Arrow costume transforms Hawkeye, depicting him affected by a virus created by Ultron, warping part of Clint Barton’s flesh into metal while a small part of his humanity remains intact to fight for justice. This skin also includes a unique emote, but it does not feature a special MVP animation like other Legendary skin bundles available in the in-game store.

The Cerebro Database II event will begin with the launch of Season 2.5 on May 30, 2025. Alongside this, players can also earn cosmetics through the Combat Chest, a special reward source accessible after completing matches.

Completing missions during the Cerebro Database II event will also yield free currency. By finishing the pages in the Cerebro Database II, players can earn Units in Marvel Rivals, as well as accumulate Chrono Tokens from individual tasks. These tokens can be redeemed for cosmetics from the Season 2 Battle Pass, which still offers numerous rewards in Season 2.5.

Despite the limited rewards, the free skin from this event is of a much higher rarity, saving players a significant amount of Units and Lattice compared to what they would have spent if purchasing it directly. With the currency gained from the Cerebro Database II event in Marvel Rivals, you’ll be well on your way to acquiring even more cosmetics, particularly the new outfits that will release during the latter half of the Season.
